Nets' Egor Demin: Injury 'nothing serious'
Demin (leg) stated he isn't sure if he will be able to play in Friday's game against Detroit, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Demin exited Tuesday's 125-124 overtime loss to the Celtics in the first half and didn't return. He isn't sure if he will play Friday versus the Pistons, though he indicated that the injury is "nothing serious," adding that he was kneed in the "muscle/bone area." The 20-year-old has had a slow start to the 2026-27 campaign, averaging 7.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting 28.6 percent from deep. If Demin isn't out there against Detroit, Nolan Traore, who also didn't return to Tuesday's meeting with the Celtics due to cramps, Mikel Brown and Keon Ellis are candidates for more minutes, with two of those players in line to start.

Nets' Michael Porter: Remains active defensively in loss
Porter ended with 27 points (8-16 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 40 minutes in Tuesday's 125-124 overtime loss to Boston.
Porter had just 10 points in the 136-109 loss to the Pacers on Sunday. He turned things around Tuesday, scoring over 20 points for the third time this season while picking up his first double-double of the year. However, it didn't result in a win for his team, with the Nets failing to secure their first victory of the 2026-27 campaign. In four regular-season games, Porter is now averaging 22.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and a career-best 2.3 steals across 32.0 minutes per contest.

Nets' Egor Demin: Won't return Tuesday
Demin won't return to Tuesday's game against Boston due to a right leg contusion, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports. He'll finish with two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and one steal over 10 minutes.
Demin was seen holding his leg and eventually limped to the locker room with 2:22 remaining in the first half. The Nets don't play again until Friday versus Detroit, so he will have a few extra days to rest and recover. However, if Demin isn't available for that contest, Keon Ellis or Mikel Brown could replace him in the starting lineup. Either way, Ellis and Brown would be in line for more minutes.

Nets' Egor Demin: Heads to locker room Tuesday
Demin (undisclosed) exited to the locker room in the second quarter of Tuesday's game against the Celtics, Sharif Phillips-Keaton of USA Today reports.
Demin hasn't had a good night, though it got even worse after he was seen limping off the floor with 2:22 left in the first half. If the second-year guard can't return, it should mean more minutes for Mikel Brown and Keon Ellis.

Nets' Keon Ellis: Headed to bench
Ellis will come off the bench in Tuesday's meeting with the Celtics, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.
The Nets have gone 0-3 to start the season, so head coach Jodi Fernandez will shuffle his starting lineup, sending Ellis to the second unit. As a reserve last season, Ellis averaged 6.0 points and 1.1 steals in 19.3 minutes per game.

Nets' Nolan Traore: Draws first start of season
Traore will start Tuesday's game at Boston, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.
With Mikel Brown sidelined for rest purposes in Sunday's loss to the Pacers, Traore logged a season-high 25 minutes, posting 17 points, five assists, two rebounds, two blocks and a steal. The second-year guard will enter the first unit following his productive performance Sunday, pushing Keon Ellis to the bench.

Nets' Mikel Brown: Left off injury report
Brown (rest) isn't listed in the injury report ahead of Tuesday's game against the Celtics.
Brown was held out of Sunday's matchup against Indiana for rest, but he's expected back in action Tuesday night. He's come off the bench in each of his first two appearances in the NBA, logging six points against Charlotte on Wednesday followed by eight points Saturday in Cleveland.

Nets' Danny Wolf: Earns first minutes of 2026-27
Wolf had six points (2-4 FG, 2-4 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist over 15 minutes during Sunday's 136-109 loss to the Pacers.
After not receiving any playing time in the Nets' first two games of the season, Wolf got some run with Brooklyn trailing by double digits for nearly the entire second half. With Noah Clowney, Chaney Johnson and Moritz Wagner occupying most of the frontcourt minutes in the second unit, it seems like Wolf will be the odd man out on most nights.

Nets' Ben Saraf: Sent to Long Island
The Nets assigned Saraf to the G League's Long Island Nets on Monday, the team announced
Saraf will have an opportunity to receive more consistent playing time with Brooklyn's G League affiliate after seeing limited action early in the NBA season. The second-year guard faces considerable competition for backcourt minutes with the Nets and is unlikely to hold significant fantasy value unless his role expands.

Nets' Drake Powell: Heads to G League
The Nets assigned Powell to the G League's Long Island Nets on Monday, the team announced.
Powell will continue his development with Long Island after struggling to carve out a consistent role in Brooklyn's rotation. The second-year wing could return to the NBA roster as needed, but he isn't currently positioned to provide meaningful fantasy production.

Nets' Joshua Jefferson: Assigned to G League
The Nets assigned Jefferson to the G League's Long Island Nets on Monday, the team announced.
Jefferson will head to Brooklyn's G League affiliate to receive additional developmental opportunities after seeing limited action at the NBA level. The rookie forward could move between Brooklyn and Long Island throughout the season but remains off the fantasy radar in standard leagues.

Nets' Josh Minott: Team-high eight boards off bench
Minott posted 15 points (4-12 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals across 21 minutes during Sunday's 136-109 loss to the Pacers.
Despite coming off the bench, Minott hauled in a team-high eight boards Sunday. The forward likely saw more playing time because Indiana ran away with this contest in the second half, but Minott did make a case Sunday to challenge the struggling Noah Clowney for reserve minutes in the frontcourt.

Nets' Nolan Traore: Impressive off bench
Traore racked up 17 points (6-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal in 25 minutes during Sunday's 136-109 loss to the Pacers.
Indiana pulled away on the scoreboard in the second half, which helped allow Traore to show what he's capable of with an expanded role. It's worth noting rookie first-rounder Mikel Brown rested for the second end of this back-to-back set, so it remains to be seen if Traore showed well enough Sunday to earn more playing time when the Brooklyn backcourt is at full strength.

Nets' Keon Ellis: Extends streak with multiple swipes
Ellis registered nine points (4-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one rebound, three assists, one block and four steals in 23 minutes during Sunday's 136-109 loss to Indiana.
Ellis continues to make a big impact on the defensive end of the floor, having now picked up multiple steals in three straight games to open the season. The expectation is that rookie first-rounder Mikel Brown is eventually going to overtake Ellis for a starting spot in the backcourt once Brown's restrictions are lifted, but Ellis should continue to deliver low-end fantasy numbers until that change is implemented.

Nets' Tyler Bilodeau: Ruled out Sunday
Bilodeau (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Indiana.
Bilodeau will miss a third straight game to begin the regular season due to a right shoulder sprain. The two-way player's absence shouldn't affect the rotation.

Nets' Josh Minott: Chips in four points Saturday
Minott finished Saturday's 125-121 loss to the Cavaliers with four points (2-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and two rebounds in nine minutes.
Minott didn't see the floor in Wednesday's season-opening loss to the Hornets but made his 2026-27 regular-season debut Saturday. The 23-year-old forward signed a two-year, $9 million contract with the club this past offseason but faces an uphill battle for a consistent role.
