The Browns are 1-1, which by any measure is a great start to first-year coach Mike Pettine's career. And they've accomplished it with Brian Hoyer, a former undrafted free agent who has been cut on three previous occasions, while 2014 first-rounder Johnny Manziel remains on the bench.

In fact, Hoyer who has started five games for the Browns dating back to last season, sports a 4-1 record. (It's 3-1 if you're in the camp that he doesn't deserve the victory in year's game against the Bills because when he left with an injury, the Browns trailed 7-0. Sill, the point remains.)

Just how impressive is that? Consider this: Since the Browns returned to Cleveland in 1999, not only have they started 20 (!) different quarterbacks (listed below, for your convenience), but Hoyer is the only one with a winning record.
