The Chargers trimmed their roster by 13 to get down to a mandatory 75 players on Monday. The most notable move was the release of veteran WR-KR Roscoe Parrish. OT Michael Toudouze was also released. Nine others were waived and two were placed on the Reserve-Non-Football Illness or Injury lists.

Notable cuts: WR-KR Roscoe Parrish (8th year, free agent, Bills) was believed to be in a competition for the fifth receiver spot with WR-KR Richard Goodman. The fifth spot will now come down to Goodman and Michael Willie (undrafted, Arizona State). TE Brad Taylor (undrafted in 2011) was on the practice squad last year. RB Michael Hayes (undrafted, Houston) looked great early in camp, but was not productive in any of the preseason games and had a fumble against the Packers.

Complete cut list

WRs Jason Barnes (undrafted, South Carolina), Taylor Embree (undrafted, UCLA), and Phillip Payne (undrafted, Nevada-Las Vegas), DTs Eddie Brown (undrafted, Texas A&M) and Garrett Brown (undrafted, Minnesota), LS Nick Guess (undrafted, Tennessee), RB Michael Hayes (undrafted, Houston), TE Brad Taylor (1st season, Baylor) and OT Phil Trautwein (2nd year, Florida). G. Brown (foot) received an injury settlement. Released: WR-KR Roscoe Parrish and OT Michael Toudouze (6th year, free agent, Colts). Toudouze (unknown) received an injury settlement.

Other moves: Reserve-Non-Football Illness -- G-T Brandyn Dombrowski (cyst on foot, 4th year, SDSU). Reserve-Non-Football Injury -- G Johnnie Troutman (round five, Penn State); he tore a pectoral muscle shortly before the draft and never practiced.
