Jairus Byrd makes impact in first game with Saints

Defensive back Jairus Byrd, who is beginning his first year with the Saints after spending the last five with the Bills, made his presence known Week 1 at Atlanta, stripping the ball from wide receiver Julio Jones late in the first quarter. Teammate Corey White recovered the fumble. Byrd also had five tackles, all solo.
