Between now and April 28, the Los Angeles Rams have a huge decision to make. The team has to decide who to select with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Although general manager Les Snead recently admitted that there's a "leader in the clubhouse" between Jared Goff and Carson Wentz, Snead has yet to tip his hand on who the pick might be.

Snead might not be willing to talk about who the Rams might take, but at least one person in the organization is: Akeem Ayers.

The linebacker told TMZ on Friday that he's hoping the Rams decide to go with Goff.

"I like the Pac-12 guy," Ayers said. "I've seen him play against UCLA, so why not add another Pac-12 guy to the roster?"

The linebacker was then specifically asked if he's a "Goff guy."

"Yeah," Ayers replied.

Ayers attended UCLA, so it's not a huge surprise that he's watched Goff play several times over the past three years.

On the other hand, just because Ayers is a "Goff guy" doesn't mean he'll be heartbroken if the team decides to go with Wentz.

"I trust the coaches to make the right decision," Ayers said. "That's what they do all year long, is look at film."

It makes sense that Ayers trusts Snead, because he's been on a roll at the top of the draft over the past few years. With the 13th overall pick in the 2014 draft, the Rams selected Aaron Donald, who went on to win the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.

The Rams followed that one year later by drafting Todd Gurley with the 10th overall pick. Gurley would go on to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2015.

No matter which quarterback ends up in Los Angeles, Ayers thinks the Rams can succeed with either Goff or Wentz in 2016. How much success?

The linebacker was asked if it's possible to win a Super Bowl with a rookie quarterback.

"I think anything can be done," Ayers said. "We've got a good defense. We've got a skilled team. If the rookie comes in, depending on how much he develops, his mindset, it can be done."

No pressure there, Goff ... or Wentz.
