LOOK: 32 NFL helmets redesigned to get you ready for latest 'Star Wars'
To commemorate the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens,' we've decided that now would be the perfect time to show you what all 32 NFL helmets would look like if they were redesigned using 'Star Wars' characters.
If you've somehow managed to avoid all radio, TV and Internet for the past 12 months and have not communicated with another human this year, then you might not know this, but there's a new Star Wars set to open in theaters on Friday.
To commemorate the Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we've decided that now would be the perfect time to show you what all 32 NFL helmets would look like if they were redesigned using Star Wars characters.
These helmets were designed before the Force Awakens was released, so you won't see Finn, Kylo Ren or R2-D2's cousin BB-8 anywhere. Is that R2-D2's cousin? I'm not sure.
What will you see though is an NFL helmet designed with Darth Vader. Besides Vader, there's also helmets featuring Yoda, Jabba the Hutt, C-3PO, Chewy and the Ewoks -- because everyone loves Ewoks and no they didn't ruin Return of the Jedi (yes, they did).
The "Star Wars" helmets were designed by a graphic illustrator named John Raya. To see all 32 helmets, you can check out Raya's page here for the AFC and here for the NFC.
Here's a look at a few of our favorites.
Editor's Note: This is an update of a story that originally ran in April.
Raiders
Forget moving to Los Angeles, the Oakland Raiders should move to Coruscant and rename themselves the Vaders. Actually, even if they stay in Oakland, they should rename themselves the Vaders anyway, because seriously, look at that helmet.

EAGLES: Chip Kelly is arguably the Yoda of the NFL, so the Eagles should really think about wearing the helmet below full-time.

Patriots: If anyone's going to pull a Jedi mind trick on you, it's Bill Belichick, so this Patriots helmet below definitely makes sense.

Packers: If you eat a lot of cheese, you'll probably end up looking like Jabba the Hutt, so I'm on board with the Packers helmet below. Eddie Lacy was starting to kind of look like Jabba earlier this year.

Jaguars: The Jaguars have been so bad recently, that it almost seems like they've had a Wookiee playing quarterback for them for the past seven years, so I like this.

Colts: I like this new Chargers logo, but I feel like it would be in the team's best interest to never have a "Lightsaber Giveaway" Day.

Finally, this one makes sense because the Colts basically look like Stormtroopers when they're wearing their all white uniforms.
