Michael Sam vowed that he will play professional football in 2015, even if it's not in the NFL.

Sam participated in the NFL's first-ever veteran's combine on Sunday and met with the media afterward.

"I am very confident that I will be playing football this year somewhere," he said, per NJ.com's Darryl Slater. "So I'll leave that at that."

"I'm young and I'm still good," he added. "I don't have any injuries. I'm going to play."

When asked if he'd consider playing in the Canadian Football League, if he doesn't get signed by an NFL team, Sam answered, "If that's an opportunity, then I will take it."
