Another season, another dominant run by the Patriots. Fresh off their fifth Super Bowl title since 2001, the Patriots are the overwhelming favorite to capture Super Bowl LII in Minnesota next February.

Just ask the oddsmakers. As ESPN reported Tuesday, the Patriots are the only team that is favored in every game of the 2017 season, according to sportsbook operator CG Technology.

It's worth pointing out, however, that Week 17 lines weren't released. So, technically the Patriots aren't favored in every game yet. But it's also worth pointing out that the Patriots will play the Jets in Week 17, so you can already give the Patriots that W.

ESPN's Ben Fawkes has more on the Patriots:

The Patriots are favored by an average of 6.5 points per game next season, with the largest spread 12.5 points at home against the Los Angeles Chargers. New England is only a 1.5-point favorite in Week 11 against the Oakland Raiders in Mexico City and Week 15 at the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Here's the Patriots' schedule, so you can judge for yourself:

  1. vs. Chiefs
  2. at Saints
  3. vs. Texans
  4. vs. Panthers
  5. at Buccaneers
  6. at Jets
  7. vs. Falcons
  8. vs. Chargers
  9. Bye week
  10. at Broncos
  11. at Raiders in Mexico City
  12. vs. Dolphins
  13. at Bills
  14. at Dolphins
  15. at Steelers
  16. vs. Bills
  17. vs. Jets

They likely won't go undefeated, of course, and I can see a few potential losses on the calendar (at Denver and at Pittsburgh would be on the top of my list), but it's tough to pick a game there that the Patriots won't win.

This shouldn't come as a surprise. The Patriots might've still dealt with the ramifications of Deflategate this offseason, but they still came away with one of the best offseasons in the league. They kept Malcolm Butler, Jimmy Garoppolo (a move that might hurt them in the long-term, but will help them this year) and Dont'a Hightower, and added players like Brandin Cooks, Stephon Gilmore, Dwayne Allen and Mike Gillislee. So long as Tom Brady is still their quarterback and Bill Belichick is their coach, the Patriots are always going to be the clear favorites.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the Browns. They aren't favored in any of their games.
