The Minnesota Vikings were expected to make some moves this offseason, and they got started Monday. While much attention is being paid to wide receiver Percy Harvin and what the team will decide to do with him, the Vikings grabbed cornerback Roderick Williams of the Canadian Football League's Edmonton Eskimos.

Williams spent all three seasons in Edmonton after signing there as a free agent. He played Alcorn State University, Minnesota coach Leslie Frazier's alma mater.

During his time in Edmonton, Williams had 111 tackles and 11 interceptions and was named a CFL West Division all-star in 2011. The Eskimos released Williams last week, so he could pursue opportunities in the NFL.
