Most of the attention surrounding "Sunday Night Football" was directed toward the return of Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell. But the Steelers didn't build their 22-0 first-quarter lead over the Chiefs on the back of Bell.

They rode quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who tossed three touchdowns in the first quarter alone to put Pittsburgh up big.

Big Ben got the scoring going with a 31-yard touchdown to Darrius Heyward-Bey, who did not drop the pass all alone near the end zone.

The Steelers went for the two-point conversion and put it in Roethlisberger's hands. He found Markus Wheaton to secure the additional two points.

On Roethlisberger's next pass, he hit Antonio Brown for a four-yard touchdown.

The Steelers kicked the extra point this time around to extend their lead to 15-0. Roethlisberger and Brown didn't stop there, though.

With a little more than a minute remaining in the quarter, Roethlisberger threw his third touchdown of the game. Again, it went to Brown, this time for 38 yards.

So, Roethlisberger threw a touchdown on three consecutive passes in the first quarter. In a related story, the Chiefs' defense is not off to a great start.
