  • Vikings' Andrew Van Ginkel: Picks off pass in Week 14 rout

Van Ginkel notched four tackles (one solo) and two defensed passes, including an interception, in Sunday's 31-0 victory versus the Commanders. Van Ginkel's biggest play came in the third quarter, when he intercepted a pass intended for Terry McLaurin and returned it 40 yards to set up a Minnesota field goal. That was Van Ginkel's first pickoff of the campaign and fifth of his career, all of which have come over the past four seasons. The veteran linebacker's sack count has been down a bit this year -- he has 4.0 through eight games -- but he's also contributed seven defensed passes, one shy of his career-best regular-season mark.

  • Vikings' Eric Wilson: Gets to QB again in Week 14 win

Wilson totaled six tackles (two solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 31-0 shutout of Washington. Wilson tied for the second-most tackles on the Vikings in the easy win. Among his stops was a sack of Marcus Mariota late in the third quarter. Wilson actually looked to have a sack earlier in the contest, but the play was negated by a Minnesota penalty. Still, Wilson has recorded a sack in consecutive contests and has already nearly doubled his previous career-best regular-season mark with 5.5 sacks on the campaign.

  • Vikings' Blake Cashman: Racks up 10 stops in rout

Cashman totaled 10 tackles (three solo) Sunday in a 31-0 Week 14 win over Washington. Cashman led the Vikings in stops while reaching the double-digit mark for the sixth time in his past seven games. In the one contest during that span that he fell short, Cashman logged nine tackles. The veteran linebacker missed four games due to injury early in the campaign, but he's still almost certain to reach triple-digit stops for the third straight season, as he's up to 93 through nine contests.

  • Vikings' Jonathan Greenard: Reduced playing time

Greenard had two total tackles as he played as the backup to starter Dallas Turner in Sunday's win over Washington. Greenard said he's still working through a left shoulder injury, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Greenard has been battling a sore shoulder since suffering the injury Nov. 9. He played on 29 of the defense's 52 snaps, though that is an increase from last week when he played just 15 snaps (22 percent). He could see more work Week 15 at Dallas as he works his way back to full strength.

  • Vikings' Levi Drake Rodriguez: Won't suit up vs. Commanders

Rodriguez (neck) is officially listed as out for Sunday's game versus Washington. Rodriguez will miss his first game of the season in Week 14 because of a neck injury. In his absence, rookie fifth-rounder Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins figures to see an increase in snaps on the defensive line.

  • Vikings' Jonathan Greenard: Set to suit up

Greenard (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Commanders. Greenard will look to string together consecutive starts after missing Week 11 and Week 12 with a shoulder injury. The linebacker was on a snap count last week, logging just 22 percent of Minnesota's defensive snaps. If the shoulder injury is still a lingering issue this trend could continue, meaning Dallas Turner will likely get a healthy snap share similar to Week 13.

  • Vikings' Josh Metellus: Ready for Sunday

Metellus (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Commanders. Metellus logged limited practices throughout the week, which seems to have been enough to cleanse the safety of an injury designation in time for Sunday's contest. The presence of Metellus is great news for a Vikings defense that will be short on defensive back depth, as Theo Jackson (neck) will not play this week.

  • Vikings' Theo Jackson: Ruled out with neck issue

Jackson (neck) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders. Redmond (hip) was a full practice participant Thursday. Redmond was deemed limited at practice Wednesday due to a lingering hip injury, but he was able to upgrade to a full session one day later. Metellus (shoulder) was limited at practice Thursday. Metellus has now been limited in each of the Vikings' first two practices this week. • Vikings' Theo Jackson: Limited participant Wednesday

Jackson (neck) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Jackson missed last week's game with this neck injury despite practicing in a limited fashion. Thus, there's a good chance he carries a questionable tag into the weekend if he doesn't upgrade to full participation by Friday. Jackson is the team's starting slot cornerback, and he has posted 39 tackles (17 solo) and a pass breakup through 10 games.

  • Vikings' Jonathan Greenard: Still dealing with shoulder injury

Greenard (shoulder) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice. Greenard returned to the lineup last week after missing the previous two games with a shoulder injury, but he played just 15 defensive snaps, his lowest total of the year. It's possible that this will be a lingering issue, which could keep him on a snap count once again in Week 14 versus the Commanders.

  • Vikings' Jalen Redmond: Back on injury report

Redmond (hip) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice. With limited participation to start the week, Redmond has a great chance to play this Sunday versus the Commanders. The second-year nose tackle has piled up 43 tackles (25 solo), 4.0 sacks and three pass breakups across 12 games.

  • Vikings' Josh Metellus: Picks up shoulder injury

Metellus (shoulder) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice. Metellus was questionable heading into last week's loss to the Seahawks due to a knee injury, but he suited up and handled his typical role. It's encouraging that he's starting the week on the practice field, albeit in a limited fashion, so he has a good chance to play this Sunday versus the Commanders. The 2020 sixth-round pick has accrued 75 tackles (37 solo), six pass breakups and two interceptions through 12 games.

Jackson (neck) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Jackson was able to play through a neck injury in Weeks 11 and 12, but the fourth-year safety has not been cleared to play in Sunday's road game. Tavierre Thomas and Fabian Moreau are the top candidates to see more snaps at the slot corner position in Jackson's absence.
