Armbrister joined the Cardinals last November but only appeared in one regular-season game with the team before landing on injured reserve with a hamstring issue. He'll now get a head start on finding a new team ahead of the 2019 campaign.

The Cardinals signed Armbrister off their practice squad Friday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Armbrister's opportunity to join the 53-man roster comes with Deone Bucannon (chest) and Haason Reddick (neck) nursing significant injuries, and Josh Bynes (thumb) on injured reserve. It remains to be seen how the fourth-year pro will be used in Arizona's defense, but it seems likely that Armbrister will take most of his snaps on special teams.

Armbrister (undisclosed) signed with the Cardinals' practice squad Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Armbrister has bounced around quite a bit since entering the league in 2015. The Miami product appeared in 30 games from 2015 to 2016, but did not play during the 2017 season. It remains to be seen how the 25-year-old will be used, if at all, in Arizona.

Armbrister was reverted to IR after clearing waivers in late August. The 25-year-old defensive tackle has 30 games under his belt but hasn't appeared in a contest since 2016, when he posted 15 tackles for the Lions.

After appearing in 14 games -- mostly in a special teams role -- for the Lions in 2016, Armbrister had failed to see the field through the team's first five contests of the current season. With head coach Jim Caldwell apparently having no visions of including Armbrister on the game day roster anytime soon, the third-year linebacker was let go to clear up a spot for defensive end Datone Jones, who was signed following a workout with the Lions.
