    Davis has decided to retire from the NFL, per his agent Deiric Jackson, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports. Davis had 3.0 sacks among his 46 tackles in 30 career regular-season games. He suited up for the Buccaneers, Colts, Texans and 49ers in an NFL career that spanned the 2020 through 2024 seasons.

  • 49ers' Khalil Davis: Works past knee issue

    Davis (knee) was not listed on the 49ers' injury report Wednesday. Davis was unable to play in the 49ers' Week 15 loss to the Rams due to a knee injury. However, that no longer appears to be an issue for the veteran defensive tackle as he was a full participant in the 49ers' first official practice of the week. Unless he suffers a setback, Davis should be able to suit up Sunday against the Dolphins.

  • Texans' Khalil Davis: Finds new home

    Davis signed a contract with the Texans on Sunday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Davis last appeared in an NFL game with the Colts in 2021. He's since bounced around between the Steelers', Buccaneers' and Rams' practice squads. He'll now work to make the most of his new opportunity in Houston and earn a depth role on its defensive line.
