The Seahawks cut Hampton from their practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Hampton latched on with Seattle's practice squad after being waived by the Buccaneers during training camp. The Seahawks recently added 2019 third-round pick Jace Sternberger to their practice squad, which may have made the 27-year-old expendable. Hampton is still looking to make his NFL regular-season debut.

Hampton was one of three players waived following Tampa Bay's preseason opener as the team cuts its roster to 85 players. He's yet to make a regular-season NFL appearance.

Hampton signed with the Buccaneers on Saturday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Hampton last donned an NFL uniform during the 2017 preseason, when he spent time with the Saints after a stint earlier that offseason with the Lions. He does have professional regular-season experience, however, logging stints with the San Diego Fleet of the Alliance of American Football and the Los Angeles Wildcats of the XFL in 2019 and 2020, respectively. Hampton is almost assuredly just a camp body who may only have a shot at garnering a practice squad spot, even with Cameron Brate (undisclosed) going on the Active/PUP list Saturday.
