Smith logged 10 tackles (six solo) and two passes defensed in Sunday's 28-3 victory over Cleveland. Smith finished with the team lead in tackles, registering double-digit stops for the third time in four contests. He's also been effective in coverage of late, batting away three passes over his last two matchups.... See More ... See Less

Ravens' Roquan Smith: Game-high 11 stops
Smith recorded 11 tackles (six solo) during Saturday's 13-3 loss to the Browns. Smith played all but one defensive snap for Baltimore this past weekend versus Cleveland, while he also logged his seventh double-digit tackling performance of the 2022-23 campaign. The 25-year-old is now slated to retain his every-down linebacker role when the Ravens host Atlanta's run-heavy offense in Week 16.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Roquan Smith: Will debut Monday
Smith will make his Ravens debut against the Saints on Monday Night Football, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Smith was traded by Chicago to Baltimore on Oct. 31 in exchange for second- and fifth-round picks in the 2023 NFL Draft and will make his Ravens debut Monday. The fifth-year linebacker was his usual dominant self for the Bears to start the 2022 campaign, totaling 83 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two interceptions across eight appearances. The extent of his role Monday remains to be seen, but as soon as he's up to speed with Baltimore's playbook, he figures to be a premier IDP option once again.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Roquan Smith: Traded to Baltimore
The Bears traded Smith to the Ravens on Monday in exchange for second- and fifth-round picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The move comes just days after Chicago traded veteran pass rusher Robert Quinn to the Eagles, giving the Bears a trio of extra picks in next year's draft. Smith has been his usual dominant self this season, totaling 83 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two interceptions through eight appearances, and he figures to be a dynamic force next to Patrick Queen in the middle of Baltimore's defense. In Smith's absence, A.J. Klein, who also was sent to Chicago in Monday's trade, or undrafted rookie Jack Sanborn are the candidates to step up as the Bears' starting middle linebacker moving forward.... See More ... Bears' Roquan Smith: Floor game
Smith recorded eight tackles in the Bears' 29-22 loss to the Vikings on Sunday. Smith is averaging 11 tackles per game, but this was his lowest output of the season. Regardless, he remains one of the best IDP options with an excellent scoring floor and ceiling.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Dealing with quad injury
Smith was a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to a quadriceps injury. Smith was dominant during the Bears' Week 2 win over the Texans, recording 16 tackles and an interception, but he presumably picked up a quadriceps injury as well. The extent of the issue remains unclear, but his participation at practice Thursday and Friday should provide further clarity on his status for Week 4.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Huge fantasy day
Smith intercepted a pass while notching 16 tackles in the Bears' 23-20 win over the Texans on Sunday. Smith was all over the field, as he doubled the tackle total of his next closest teammate. He also helped lead the Bears to a victory by picking off a pass in a game that was won at the final whistle. Smith continues to be one of the elite IDP performers, who has both a high scoring floor and ceiling each week.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Active against Texans
Smith (hip) is active Week 3 against the Texans. Smith may not have seen the practice field all week, but that won't the fifth-year linebacker from taking the field. With totals of nine and 11 tackles through the first two weeks of the season, Smith continues to establish himself as an upper-tier IDP option.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Labeled questionable for Sunday
Smith (hip) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans. Smith didn't practice at all this week due to an unspecified hip injury, but he still has a chance to play Sunday. However, if he's sidelined, undrafted rookie Jack Sanborn would likely step into the middle of Chicago's defense in Week 3.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Sits out again Thursday
Smith (hip) was listed as a non-participant on the Bears' practice report Thursday. Smith also sat out practice Wednesday while dealing with an unspecified hip injury. The linebacker's absence for the second day in a row is a discouraging sign for availability with just one more practice before this Sunday's game against Houston. In his potential absence, undrafted rookie Jack Sanborn would likely step into the middle of Chicago's defense in Week 3.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Doesn't practice Wednesday
Smith didn't participate during Wednesday's practice due to a hip injury. Smith has 20 tackles and half a sack through two games, so his potential absence would be a huge blow to Chicago's defense Week 3 against the Texans. He'll have two more practices to get back on the field and move past the issue before Sunday's game.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Another strong outing
Smith tallied 11 stops in the Bears' 27-10 loss to the Packers on Sunday. Smith tied with Nicholas Morrow for the team lead in tackles, and Smith is averaging 10 stops over the first two games. He'll continue to be an elite IDP option, as he's been the past couple years.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Leads team in stops
Smith piled up nine tackles and half a sack in the Bears' 19-10 win over the 49ers on Sunday. In a game in which the 49ers ran the ball 37 times, it was a bit surprising that Smith failed to reach double-digit stops. Regardless, he was very productive and should continue to be one of the top-scoring IDPs in the league.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Cleared of injury
Smith (general soreness) wasn't listed on the Bears' injury report Wednesday. Smith was sidelined for Chicago's preseason finale while dealing with "tightness," according to head coach Matt Eberflus. The 25-year-old ended up missing the entirety of the preseason after sitting out the team's previous two exhibitions due to a contract dispute with the team. Smith, who racked up a career-high 163 tackles to go along with three sacks while playing every game for the Bears in 2021, should have a chance to finish as one of the league's most productive middle linebackers during the 2022 season.... Bears' Roquan Smith: Comes off PUP list
Chicago activated Smith from the active/PUP list Wednesday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. The star linebacker has been holding out of training camp and recently requested a trade due to dissatisfaction with his contract situation, and he plans to continue holding out despite being activated, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. It's not clear if the Bears intend to offer him the long-term contract he's seeking or cut ties in a potential blockbuster trade, but Smith should be a top-tier IDP option as long as he plays somewhere this season.... Bears' Roquan Smith: Listed as questionable
Smith (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Monday's matchup against the Vikings. Smith was a full participant in Saturday's practice after previously being limited throughout the week. That's certainly a good sign for fantasy managers, but it's still worth confirming his status ahead of the 8:15 pm ET kickoff. Christian Jones would see a substantial jump in playing time if Smith was eventually ruled inactive.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Back on track
Smith recorded a sack and 12 tackles in the Bears' 29-27 loss to the Steelers on Monday. After a poor fantasy performance in Week 8, Smith posted his seventh game with double-digit tackles while also notching his third sack of the season. After the Chicago bye in Week 10, he'll go right back to being an elite IDP performer.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Delivers rare dud
Smith had five tackles (all solo) during Sunday's 33-22 loss to the 49ers. Smith recorded double-digit tackles in five straight games entering Sunday's contest, but he was unable to come close to continuing that streak. The 24-year-old ranks third in the NFL with 80 tackles (48 solo) in eight games, and he also has two sacks and one interception.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Posts double-digit tackles
Smith tallied 10 stops in the Bears' 20-9 win over the Raiders on Sunday. Smith has been amazingly consistent by collecting between nine and 11 tackles in each game this year, and he'll continue to be an elite IDP option.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Roquan Smith: Notches nine stops
Smith tallied nine tackles in the Bears' 26-6 loss to the Browns on Sunday. Smith led the Bears in tackles for the third week in a row, and he's now posted at least nine stops in each game. He'll continue to be an elite IDP option going forward.... See More ... See Less
