The Patriots ended the team-imposed suspension for Jones (knee) on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Jones will now move from the reserve/suspended list back to IR following this suspension for a violation of team rules. The rookie cornerback is still recovering from a bone bruise in his left knee sustained Week 14. Jones will now look to get healthy again heading into the offseason after New England was eliminated from playoff contention following Sunday's 35-23 loss to Buffalo.... See More ... See Less

Patriots' Jack Jones: Receives suspension
The Patriots moved Jones (knee) from injured reserve to the reserve/suspended list Friday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Jones' suspension stems from a violation of team rules, while Mike Garafolo of NFL Network relays that the cornerback's agent suggests that the suspension "appears to be based on miscommunication regarding [Jones'] rehab process." Jones concludes the 2022 season 30 tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble in 13 games.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Jack Jones: Moved to IR
The Patriots placed Jones (knee) on injured reserve Saturday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Jones suffered a bone bruise in his left knee Week 14 against the Cardinals and hasn't been able to play since. With his move to IR, he won't be able to play again this season unless New England makes the playoffs and advances to the AFC Championship Game. Jones finishes the regular season with 38 tackles (25 solo), a forced fumble and two interceptions -- including one he returned for a touchdown.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Jack Jones: Will miss third consecutive game
Jones (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports. Jones failed to practice in any capacity during the week and will miss his third consecutive game. In positive news for New England, Jalen Mills (groin) could return from a four-game absence to bolster the secondary.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Jack Jones: Remains out Week 16
Jones (knee) has been ruled inactive for Saturday's game against the Bengals. Jones will miss his second consecutive game after suffering a bone bruise in left his knee during the Week 14 win over Arizona. Patriots' Jack Jones: Unavailable Week 15
Jones (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Jones will now miss his first contest of the 2022-23 campaign as a result of the bone bruise he sustained in his left knee Monday versus Arizona. With Jalen Mills (groin) also ruled out, Jonathan Jones, Myles Bryant and Marcus Jones should operate as New England's top cornerbacks in Week 15.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Jack Jones: Dealing with bone bruise
Jones said postgame that he was forced out of Monday's 27-13 win over the Cardinals with a bone bruise in his left knee, Dakota Randall of NESN.com reports. Jones was not able to return following the opening series of the game, and he was seen with a sleeve on his left leg while moving with a limp, per Randall. However, the rookie cornerback expressed optimism that he would still be available to play Week 15 against Las Vegas, per Randall. Jones quickly stepped up into a prominent role in the Patriots' defense, recording 30 tackles, five passes defended and two interceptions, including a pick-six. Therefore, his potential absence would definitely be a tough loss while facing a Raiders passing game headlined by star wideout Davante Adams.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Jack Jones: Won't return versus Arizona
Jones (knee) was downgraded out for the remainder of Monday's game against the Cardinals. While the exact nature of Jones' knee injury is still unclear, it will keep him from returning for the remainder of Monday's contest. His next chance to play will come against the Raiders on Sunday, Dec. 18. With Jones out, New England will be left with four available cornerbacks against Cardinals quarterback Colt McCoy, who stepped in after starter Kyler Murray was forced out with a knee injury in the first quarter.... Patriots' Jack Jones: Questionable to return Monday
Jones is questionable to return to Monday's game against the Cardinals with a knee injury. Jones was examined in the Patriots' medical tent during the first quarter, and he continued to have his knee worked on after he emerged on the Patriots' sideline, according to Chris Mason of The Springfield Republican. With fellow starting cornerback Jalen Mills (groin) already inactive, Myles Bryant and Marcus Jones will be left to step into bigger roles alongside Jonathan Jones.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Jack Jones: Forces two takeaways Sunday
Jones totaled seven tackles (three solo), a pick-six, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery during the Patriots' 27-24 overtime loss to the Packers on Sunday. Jones drew his first career start Sunday, and he was responsible for two takeaways during the narrow loss. He recovered a fumble that he forced in the first quarter before returning an interception for a touchdown just before halftime. The interception was the first of Jones' career, and it marked just the fourth time that Aaron Rodgers has had one of his interceptions returned for a touchdown. It's possible that Jones sees a decreased role once Jalen Mills (hamstring) is cleared to return, but the rookie fourth-rounder's performance against Green Bay was certainly encouraging.... Tom E. Curran@tomecurran5D ago🚨 QUICK SLANTS POLL 🚨 Should the Patriots pursue Lamar Jackson, giving up two first-rounders and agreeing to pay him, say, $40M/year guaranteed over 5 years? Or stick with Mac Jones, his $2.5M (or so) salaries the next two years and see how that works for 'em?
