    Fortner agreed to terms Tuesday on a one-year contract with the Panthers worth $4.75 million, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Fortner started 44 regular-season games over four years with the Jaguars, although he started just 10 games over the past two. The 2022 third-round pick should be favored to win the starting center job in Carolina.

    The Jaguars traded Fortner to the Saints in exchange for defensive lineman Khalen Saunders on Sunday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
