  • Panthers' Anthony Tyus: Inks reserve/future deal with CAR

The Panthers signed Tyus to a reserve/future contract Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. Tyus initially signed with Detroit as an undrafted free agent last April. He spent some time with Seattle's practice squad before finding work with Carolina's practice squad in early October. Tyus didn't get elevated for any games this season, but he'll now have a chance to show the Panthers what he can do during upcoming offseason activities.

  • Anthony Tyus: Earns spot on practice squad

Tyus signed with the Seahawks' practice squad Wednesday. Tyus will join fellow rookie running backs Damien Martinez (seventh round) and Jacardia Wright (undrafted) on the Seahawks' practice squad. Tyus finished the preseason with just 21 carries for 55 yards (2.6 YPC) and one catch for two yards. He's a long shot to get called up to the active roster.

  • Anthony Tyus: Tries out with Seattle

Tyus (illness) worked out with the Seahawks on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Tyus is healthy again after having been waived by Detroit with a non-football illness designation earlier this month. He will look to catch on with the Seahawks, who are in need of extra depth at running back after Kenny McIntosh suffered a season-ending torn ACL last week.
