The 26-year-old defensive lineman has been inactive each of the last four weeks after playing a total of 47 defensive snaps across Weeks 1 and 2 with the Jets. He'll look for a new opportunity elsewhere.

The Jets placed Taylor (undisclosed) on the active/PUP list Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Despite having mid-round grades from some outlets, Taylor wasn't drafted out of Miami earlier this year and signed with the Jets as a free agent. Taylor will need to get on the field sooner rather than later if he wants to maximize his chances of making the roster.
