Reed reverted to the Panthers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Reed played 10 of Carolina's 75 offensive snaps in Week 4, and he could not haul in his only target during Sunday's 32-26 win versus the Lions. Whether he's elevated again in Week 6 following the Panthers' bye could depend on the availability of Jalen Coker (quadriceps).

The Panthers elevated Reed from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
If Reed gets into Sunday's matchup versus Detroit, it will be the first regular-season action of his NFL career. The 23-year-old spent all of last season on Carolina's practice squad but wasn't elevated at any point. Reed's opportunity comes after Xavier Legette (knee) was placed on IR on Saturday, and Jalen Coker (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup.

Reed was cut Tuesday after he failed to earn a spot on Carolina's final 53-man roster for 2025, but he'll now be staying with the team as a member of the practice squad. The Panthers have one of the thinner groups of wide receivers in the NFL, so Reed could be closer to an elevation than the average practice-squad wideout.
