Swain was waived by the Chiefs on Saturday, Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star reports.
Swain's absence from the 53-man roster shouldn't come as a big surprise given the team's depth along the defensive line. Assuming he goes unclaimed, the rookie would be a candidate for a practice squad.
