  • Jaguars' Walker Little: Out for Week 18 finale

    Little (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports. Little will miss his second straight game, and his 2024 campaign is now officially over. After the Jaguars dealt Cam Robinson to the Vikings ahead of the trade deadline, Little took over as the Jaguars' starting left tackle and started Weeks 8-16 at the position. Cole Van Lanen should again start at left tackle for Sunday's regular-season finale. Little is under contract in Jacksonville through 2027 after signing a three-year, $40.5 million extension with the team in December.

  • Jaguars' Walker Little: Out vs. Titans with ankle sprain

    Little has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Titans with a high-ankle sprain, Kainani Stevens of the Jaguars' official site reports. Little injured his left ankle in the first quarter of this past Sunday's game against the Raiders, and it now looks like he suffered a high-ankle sprain when he went down. Whether he plays in Week 18 is still up in the air, but he'll be sidelined for Sunday's game versus Tennessee. Cole Van Lanen is slated to fill in at left tackle in his stead.

    Little and the Jaguars agreed Sunday on a three-year, $45 million contract extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. A 2021 second-round draft pick out of Stanford, Little has started in just 21 of his 51 career games, but the Jaguars have been impressed with his work since he stepped into the lineup at left tackle in October following the trade of Cam Robinson to the Vikings. The new deal keeps Little on the books through 2027 and likely means that the Jaguars won't be looking to select a left tackle with what's shaping up to be a top-10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

    Coach Doug Pederson said Little "tweaked his right groin in practice" this week and thus was held out of Saturday's preseason win versus the Dolphins, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports. Assuming he's healthy, Little is expected to fill in for Cam Robinson at left tackle as the latter serves a four-game PED suspension to begin the upcoming campaign. But with a health concern now in tow, Little's status now will need to be monitored with two weeks to recover for a Week 1 road matchup with the Colts.
