  • Stanley Berryhill: Eligible to play

Berryhill had his suspension lifted by the league Tuesday, per the NFL's official transaction log. Berryhill was one of multiple Lions to be hit with a suspension in April for violating the league's gambling policies. He was waived by the team shortly thereafter and has remained a free agent since. However, with the NFL and NFLPA agreeing to adjust the league's gambling policy, Berryhill's suspension has come to an end two weeks early, after he served four games of the initial six-game ruling.

  • Stanley Berryhill: Let go after suspension

The Lions waived Berryhill (suspension) on Tuesday. The NFL suspended Berryhill, along with teammates Jameson Williams, Quintez Cephus and C.J. Moore, at the end of April for violating the league's gambling policy. Williams was the only player from that group to retain a roster spot with Detroit, which isn't surprising given he was a first-round draft pick in 2022. Berryhill appeared in four games for the Lions last year but wasn't targeted across six offensive snaps and was likely headed for another practice-squad role after signing a reserve/future contract this offseason. He was on the fringe of sticking in the NFL already, so his suspension may have cost him a chance to further his professional career.

  • Lions' Stanley Berryhill: Handed six-game suspension

The NFL announced Friday that Berryhill will be suspended six games for violation of the league's gambling policy, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Berryhill and his teammate Jameson Williams were given six-game suspensions for violating the league's gambling policy, while fellow Lion Quintez Cephus along with C.J. Moore and Shaka Toney were handed indefinite suspensions, minimum one season. The incidents involving Berryhill and Williams occurred within the team's facilities as the athletes bet on non-NFL games according to Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com. While the loss of Williams is significant to the Lions' offense, Berryhill was likely set to operate as a practice squad option in 2023.

  • Lions' Stanley Berryhill: Gets new deal with Detroit

The Lions signed Berryhill to a reserve/future contract Monday. Berryhill appeared in four games with Detroit in 2022, though he wasn't targeted across his six offensive snaps. He spent time with the Falcons and Cardinals after going undrafted out of Arizona, before ending up on the Lions practice squad back in October and sticking with the team.

  • Stanley Berryhill: Returns to practice squad

Berryhill reverted to the Lions' practice squad Monday, per Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic. Berryhill was bumped up from Detroit's practice squad for the second game in a row after being let go from the team's active roster Nov. 7. However, the 5-foot-9 receiver was once again a nonfactor on offense, as he did not record a statistic while playing just three of his 14 snaps from scr The Lions will likely exercise Berryhill's last available practice-squad elevation if wideouts Josh Reynolds (back) and DJ Chark (ankle) are sidelined for the team's Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Giants.

  • Stanley Berryhill: Back to practice squad

Berryhill reverted to the Lions' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log. Berryhill received his third elevation of 2022, as the Lions have dealt with multiple injuries throughout their wide receiver corps this season. The 24-year-old saw just two snaps on offense Sunday against the Bears, but he did contribute on special teams, including recording a tackle on punt coverage.

  • Lions' Stanley Berryhill: Elevated from practice squad

Detroit elevated Berryhill from its practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game at the Bears. It will be the third consecutive week Berryhill is active for the Lions and the last time he's eligible to be elevated from the practice squad before he would have to be added to the team's 53-man roster in order to suit up. He's played just one offensive snap through two weeks.

  • Stanley Berryhill: Re-signed to practice squad

The Lions re-signed Berryhill to their practice squad Wednesday, Tim Twentyman of the team's official site reports. Berryhill was signed to the active roster ahead of a Week 9 win over the Packers, and he logged one offensive snap and seven special-teams snaps in the contest. He was subsequently waived Monday but has now returned to Detroit's practice squad. Even if he makes it back up to the active roster, Berryhill isn't likely to see much work on offense.

  • Stanley Berryhill: Let go by Detroit

The Lions waived Berryhill on Monday. Berryhill was signed from Detroit's practice squad Saturday, and he played one of his eight snaps on offense during Sunday's 15-9 win over the Packers. The 24-year-old wideout was also elevated for the Lions' Week 8 loss to Miami, so it's likely that he will re-sign with the team's practice squad if he's unable to secure a spot on an active roster elsewhere. Either way, Berryhill will look to haul in the first catch of his career at some point this season.

  • Lions' Stanley Berryhill: Signed to active roster

Berryhill was signed to the Lions' active roster Saturday. Berryhill was active for the first time in Week 8, but he'll have the chance to make an impact for the rest of the season with Detroit's wide receiver corps currently depleted. He'll still be relatively buried on the depth chart and is likely to serve primarily on special teams.

Arizona cut Berryhill from its practice squad Tuesday, Howard Balzer of SI.com reports. • Stanley Berryhill: Joins Arizona's practice squad

The Cardinals signed Berryhill to the practice squad Wednesday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports. With Rondale Moore (hamstring) possibly out for awhile and Andy Isabella (back) facing a second straight absence, the Cardinals signed Berryhill and C.J. Board to the practice squad as added depth. Arizona is also without DeAndre Hopkins (suspension) until Week 7, so Marquise Brown, A.J. Green and Greg Dortch are expected to lead the passing attack for the foreseeable future, though Zach Ertz may continue to see an increased role as well.
