Stephens has yet to appear in a game for the Steelers this season after appearing in 13 for the Seahawks in 2020. He'll try to get healthy and earn a promotion to the active roster before the 2021 season comes to a close.

Stephens has spent the first two weeks of the season on Seattle's practice squad, but with Marquise Blair (knee) out for the year, the Seahawks are in need of depth at the safety position. Stephens was on the Seahawks' practice squad but will now have a chance on the Dolphins' 53-man roster. The 24-year-old went undrafted out of Cincinnati in 2018 and has yet to appear in an NFL game.
