  • Bills' Poona Ford: Catches on with Buffalo

The Bills signed Ford to a one-year contract Tuesday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Undrafted out of Texas in 2018, Ford signed with the Seahawks and has since managed to become a significant contributor in the middle of the defense. Ford has started 64 games through five seasons and hasn't missed a contest since 2019. He has 7.5 career sacks and will try to carve out a role along Buffalo's interior alongside DaQuan Jones, Ed Oliver, Jordan Phillips and even Tim Settle.

  • Seahawks' Poona Ford: First sack of season

Ford posted five tackles (four solo), a sack and a pass breakup in Sunday's 19-9 win over the Cardinals. Ford posted a season high in tackles and his first sack of the season in Week 6. The 26-year-old defensive tackle has had a slow start to the year with just 15 tackles through six games. He averaged more than three stops per game last year, so perhaps his strong performance this week is a sign that he has turned a corner.

  • Seahawks' Poona Ford: Trending toward return

Ford (calf) is expected to return to practice Monday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports. Ford missed nearly a full week of practice, but head coach Pete Carroll believes the third-year pro will be back on the field soon. With little competition behind him, Ford appears locked into a starting role in 2020 and could see an uptick in snaps -- he averaged 34.5 per game last season.

  • Seahawks' Poona Ford: Ready for Sunday's game

Ford (calf) will play in Sunday's game versus the Saints, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Ford missed Week 2's game versus the Steelers, but he's ready to return to his starting defensive tackle job. He's not a pass-rushing presence and made just two solo tackles in the season opener, so his IDP upside is limited. However, he'll be instrumental in slowing down Alvin Kamara and the Saints' duo of dual-threat quarterbacks -- Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill.
