  • SaRodorick Thompson: Let go by Rams

The Rams waived Thompson on Sunday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. After being without a team for the offseason, Thompson managed to catch on with the Rams on Thursday. He rushed for six yards on three carries in Saturday's preseason game against Houston. Thompson will explore other options assuming he clears waivers.

  • Rams' SaRodorick Thompson: Headed to Los Angeles

The Rams signed Thompson to a contract Thursday. Thompson spent portions of the 2023 season on the Seahawks' practice squad. He was elevated for Week 7 against the Cardinals, when he took two snaps on offense without accruing a stat. It's unlikely that Thompson will crack the Rams' 53-man roster, but a good showing for the rest of training camp and in the preseason finale against the Texans on Saturday could help his chances of sticking around on the practice squad.

  • SaRodorick Thompson: Parts ways with Seattle again

The Seahawks released Thompson from their practice squad Friday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Thompson had just been signed to the practice squad Wednesday, but Seattle let him go Friday in order to make room for veteran quarterback Sean Mannion. This was the second time this season Thompson has been signed to the team's practice squad and then released, though the earlier stint was considerably longer and included an elevation to the active roster for the Week 7 contest versus Arizona. The rookie running back received two offensive snaps in that game but didn't accumulate any stats. The fact that Seattle let Thompson go Friday may be a hint that either (or both) Kenneth Walker (oblique) or Zach Charbonnet (knee) will be able to suit up to face San Francisco on Sunday.

  • SaRodorick Thompson: Headed back to the Northwest

Thompson signed with the Seahawks' practice squad Wednesday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. Thompson spent time with Seattle earlier this season and suited up in Week 7 against the Cardinal. He played two snaps on offense but not touch the ball. He'll now get another opportunity with the franchise as Kenneth Walker (oblique) and Zach Charbonnet (ankle) are both dealing with injuries.

The Seahawks cut Thompson from the practice squad Tuesday. Thompson joined the Seahawks' practice squad on Aug. 30, one day after being cut from the team ahead of the 53-man roster deadline. He was elevated once to the active roster in Week 7 when he played two offensive snaps and did not record a stat. Thompson will explore his next options should he clear waivers.

Thompson was elevated to Seattle's active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. • Seahawks' SaRodorick Thompson: Signs with Seattle

Thompson signed with the Seahawks on Monday. Thompson will head to Seattle and provide depth following injuries to Kenneth Walker (groin) and Zach Charbonnet (shoulder). The 23-year-old originally signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent back in April only to be waived two months later. Thompson will now look to make the most of his opportunity while Walker and Charbonnet recover from their injuries.
