The Giants hosted Goforth (ankle) for a workout on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Goforth, an undrafted free agent, spent the offseason in Green Bay but was hurt during the preseason. He secured an injury settlement prior to Week 1 and now appears fully healthy. The linebacker is competing to earn an opportunity on a practice squad around the league.

Ralen Goforth: Parts ways with Green Bay
The Packers released Goforth (ankle) from IR with an injury settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Goforth had been waived with an injury designation in late August, and he reverted to IR after clearing waivers. By reaching an injury settlement with Green Bay, the linebacker could sign with another NFL team and play this season. Goforth originally signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent in May.

Packers' Ralen Goforth: Reverts to IR
Goforth (ankle) reverted to the Packers' injured reserve list Wednesday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Goforth suffered two injuries during preseason play; he was diagnosed with a concussion in Green Bay's second game but was able to return in time for the exhibition finale, during which he hurt his ankle. The linebacker was subsequently waived with an injury designation Tuesday. Because he cleared waivers, Goforth will spend the entire 2024 season on IR unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Packers.

The linebacker rode back to the locker room in a cart, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. Goforth had four tackles before exiting. The undrafted free agent is competing for a depth linebacker spot.

Goforth was taken to the locker room near the end of the first half after an attempted tackle on quarterback Jarrett Stidham. Goforth will finish the game with five tackles (one solo).
