    Newton was waived by the Broncos on Monday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Newton had a productive collegiate career with Toledo but was always a longshot to make Denver's roster after joining the team as an undrafted free agent. He made five catches for 26 yards across three preseason games.
