  • Buccaneers' SirVocea Dennis: Undergoes MRI for ankle injury

Dennis (ankle) underwent an MRI after the Buccaneers' Week 4 loss to the Packers, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reported Monday. Dennis exited the loss to the Packers early with an ankle injury. The linebacker entered the Week 4 matchup dealing with a lingering calf injury, and the need for an MRI after the contest does not bode well for the 26-year-old's leg. It remains unclear how significant Dennis' injury is and how much time he may be required to miss.

  • Buccaneers' SirVocea Dennis: Departs Week 4 game with ankle injury

Dennis (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's matchup against Green Bay, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports. Dennis dealt with a calf injury during the week but was ultimately cleared to play Sunday. However, he suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's contest and isn't certain to return. Should Dennis be done for the day, Christian Rozeboom could be asked to step up and log more work on defense.

  • Buccaneers' SirVocea Dennis: Cleared to take field

Dennis (calf) is active Week 4 against Green Bay. Dennis saw the field for 27 defensive snaps in Week 3, in addition to his regular duties on special teams, which may indicate a growing role on the defensive side for the fourth-year linebacker. The extra run led to a season-best four tackles, which he'll look to eclipse Sunday.

  • Buccaneers' SirVocea Dennis: Limited in practice Friday

Dennis (calf/personal) was a limited participant in Friday's practice, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports. Dennis was limited in Wednesday's practice with a calf injury before downgrading to a DNP in Thursday's session. The linebacker was able to return to practice Friday but is also dealing with a personal issue. With Josiah Trotter back as the starting inside linebacker next to Alex Anzalone for Sunday's game against the Packers, Dennis will be in a reserve role if he can suit up.

  • Buccaneers' SirVocea Dennis: Starting Sunday sans Trotter

Dennis will start at inside linebacker against the Vikings on Sunday due to the absence of Jeremiah Trotter (shoulder), Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Dennis has mostly worked on special teams this season and has only two tackles (one solo) through two games. However, with Trotter sidelined by a shoulder issue, Dennis will start next to Alex Anzalone for Sunday's game, with Christian Rozeboom providing depth at the position. Dennis was a regular starter for the Buccaneers last year, when he logged 101 tackles (66 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and five pass defenses (including one interception) across 16 regular-season games.

  • Buccaneers' SirVocea Dennis: Career-best season in '25

Dennis recorded 101 tackles (66 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and five defensed passes, including one interception, across 16 games in the 2025 regular season. After playing under 100 snaps in each of his first two seasons over 17 total games, Dennis moved into a full-time role and put his whopping 909 snaps to good use. Dennis' stat line was unsurprisingly comprised of career-best figures across the board, and he recorded at least seven tackles on 10 occasions. Dennis will now head into the final year of his rookie contract in 2026, although given his breakout campaign, it's certainly conceivable he and the Bucs come to terms on an extension this offseason.

  • Buccaneers' SirVocea Dennis: Lined up for return

Dennis (hip) logged a full practice Wednesday. Dennis was sidelined for Tampa Bay's Week 15 matchup against Atlanta, but he looks to be in line to return for a key NFC South matchup against the Panthers. He should play nearly every defensive snap while posting a significant number of tackles.

  • Buccaneers' SirVocea Dennis: Nursing hip injury

Dennis (hip) was listed as a DNP on Monday's estimated practice report, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports. It's the first time since mid-September that Dennis has appeared on the Buccaneers' injury report. The Bucs held a walkthrough practice Monday, so the third-year linebacker will have two more opportunities to increase his practice participation ahead of Thursday's NFC South tilt against the Falcons.

Dennis (ankle) was a limited participant at the Buccaneers' practice Wednesday. Dennis popped up on the injury report with an apparent ankle injury Wednesday, which he may have suffered in the team's 20-19 win over the Texans on Monday Night Football. The linebacker's ability to practice in any capacity to open the week is a good sign for his chances to play Sunday versus the Jets. Dennis will have two more chances to log a full practice before the end of the week.

  • Buccaneers' SirVocea Dennis: Missing rest of regular season

Coach Todd Bowles said Wednesday that Dennis (shoulder) won't be available again in 2024 unless the Buccaneers reach the playoffs, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Dennis recently underwent surgery to address a shoulder injury he suffered in Week 4 versus the Eagles, and it now looks like he could be sidelined until 2025. In his absence, K.J. Britt figures to continue to play a near-every down role at inside linebacker next to Lavonte David.

  • Buccaneers' SirVocea Dennis: May have significant injury

Head coach Todd Bowles stated Monday that Dennis hurt his shoulder "pretty bad" in Sunday's win over the Eagles, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Dennis exited in the second quarter of the Week 4 matchup and was unable to return to the game. It's not clear that he will, but likely safe to assume the second-year pro will undergo some imaging to diagnose the injury. With the Buccaneers on a short week and traveling to Atlanta for a Thursday matchup, Dennis may be closer to doubtful than questionable, but more details won't be known until the team releases its first injury report for the week.
