  • Titans' Jabari Small: Inks deal with Tennessee

The Titans signed Small to a reserve/future contract Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. Small spent most of his rookie campaign on the Titans' practice squad, and he'll remain in Tennessee after inking a new deal Monday. The 22-year-old has yet to appear in an NFL game, though he was elevated to the active roster ahead of Tennessee's Week 3 loss to the Packers. Small will likely compete for a depth role in the Titans' backfield as the team heads into the offseason.

Small was elevated from the practice squad Saturday to provide backfield insurance for the Titans in case Tyjae Spears (ankle) was unable to play. With Spears active for Sunday's game, Small will remain on the sidelines. Small can be elevated from the Titans' practice squad two more times this season.

The Titans signed Small to the practice squad Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. Small signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL Draft. He worked behind Jaylen Wright at the University of Tennessee in his final season but still managed 475 yards on the ground while scoring two touchdowns. The Titans have only three backs on their roster, meaning Small could find his way to active status at some point this season.
