Stephen was away from the team all week to receive treatment for the foot injury he sustained in the Nov. 4 loss to the Chargers, but he demonstrated enough progress in his recovery to avoid his first missed game of the season. He'll likely occupy a starting role along the defensive line, though his role could be more limited than usual.
Stephen (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Stephen did not practice in any capacity this week, but nonetheless appears to have a real shot at suiting up against the Rams in Week 10. With backup Nazir Jones (illness) also listed as questionable, it's possible that Poona Ford would draw the start if Stephen were unable to suit up.
Stephen (knee) notched three tackles (zero solo) in Saturday's 24-14 preseason loss to the Chargers.
Stephen is vying for snaps on the Seahawks' defensive front, but he may have to settle for a reserve behind Jarran Reed and Tom Johnson, as the latter two have been taking first-team reps throughout camp. The 27-year-old spent the last four seasons with the Vikings, producing 93 tackles and one sack.
Stephen is expected to start at defensive tackle in 2018, Bryan Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Although Stephen is still rehabbing a meniscus injury he suffered in the divisional round of the playoffs, he's in line to jump Nazair Jones (ankle) in the depth chart and take over as a starter. A 2014 seventh-round pick, Stephen signed with the Seahawks on March 24 after a season that he accrued 28 tackles (nine solo) in 15 games. Stephen hasn't worked much as a full-time starter in his career, so it'll be interesting to see what how far his potential stretches.
Sharmar had surgery after suffering a meniscus injury in the Vikings' playoff run, but is expected to be healthy by OTAs. He spent his first four seasons in Minnesota, but will not look to earn a role on the Seahawks' defensive line.
