Bears' Germain Ifedi: Remains in Chicago
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ifedi signed a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with the Bears on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The Bears are likely to lose Bobby Massie in free agency, but they bolstered their offensive line by retaining Ifedi. He's played both tackle and guard in his NFL career, but started all 16 games as a guard in 2020.

Bears' Germain Ifedi: Dressing for Week 13
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ifedi (calf) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Lions.

Ifedi has not yet missed a game in his debut campaign for the Bears, and he's only been forced to sit out a combined four outings over his five years in the league. Limited sessions throughout the practice week kept it up in the air as to whether Ifedi would be good to go Week 13. He is, in fact, healthy enough to man his right tackle spot for a matchup against the division-rival Lions.

Bears' Germain Ifedi: Questionable after limited practice
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ifedi (calf) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions.

Ifedi was limited in all three of Chicago's practices this week. If the right tackle can't go, Rashaad Coward could slide over from right guard or Lachavious Simmons could take Ifedi's spot.

The Bears activated Ifedi from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.

Ifedi was placed on the COVID-19 list Tuesday after being determined to have been in close contact with Jason Spriggs (illness), but it looks like he'll now be available for Sunday's game in Tennessee. Count on Ifedi to draw his usual start at right guard.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ifedi was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday as a close contact of Jason Spriggs, who tested positive for the virus, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Ifedi will need to be away from the facility for at least five days, so if all goes well he could still play Sunday against the Titans. Arlington Hambright could be called upon at right guard should Ifedi be unable to play.

Bears' Germain Ifedi: Lands in Windy City
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ifedi agreed Wednesday with the Bears on a one-year contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Since being drafted by the Seahawks in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Ifedi has struggled transform into a reliable starter. The 25-year-old will now get the benefit of a fresh start in Chicago, and he could see the opportunity to test his abilities at guard after having spent most of his time in Seattle at right tackle.

Ifedi logged full practice sessions from Wednesday on, so this news isn't quite surprising. Now that the 24-year-old is officially ready for Week 8, he's expected to get the start at right tackle.

Head coach Pete Carroll indicated Monday that Ifedi (undisclosed) will return to full participation at Wednesday's practice, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Ifedi was sidelined at practice over the weekend after being on the receiving end of a sucker punch from teammate Frank Clark. As expected, the Seahawks have kept a tight lid on the situation, opting to handle it in-house. There is nothing to indicate Ifedi will return at anything less than full strength Wednesday.

Seahawks' Germain Ifedi: Favorite for right tackle job
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ifedi (ankle) is the favorite to open the season at right tackle, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Ifedi, the Seahawks' 2016 first-rounder, spent his rookie season primarily at right guard. The fact that he's even been participating in OTAs suggests the high-ankle sprain he suffered in the team's playoff loss against the Falcons is a thing of the past.
