Saints' P.J. Williams: Makes progress in year three
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Williams recorded 47 tackles (34 solo), nine passes defensed and two interceptions across 16 games in 2017.

Williams notched career-highs across the board in 2017, as the cornerback was finally able to stay on the field for all 16 contests after two injury-plagued seasons to start his career. While Ken Crawley ended the season as the starting cornerback alongside Marshon Lattimore, Williams still managed to record just under 40 defensive reps per game in the regular season. He now heads into a contract year with the Saints and he'll have to prove his 2017 numbers were no fluke if he hopes to sign a long-term extension.

Saints' P.J. Williams: Will play Week 13
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Williams (shoulder) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

Williams was listed as questionable for Sunday's game but is apparently ready to play. The 24-year-old should see an increased workload against the Panthers with rookie cornerback Marshon Lattimore inactive with an ankle injury.

Saints' P.J. Williams: Questionable for Week 13
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Willliams is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers with a shoulder injury.

Williams is coming off his second interception of the season in last week's lost to the Rams, but his availability for this week remains uncertain. De'Vante Harris, Justin Hardee and Sterling Moore could all be in line for bigger roles Sunday with Williams and Marshon Lattimore (ankle) both listed as questionable.

Saints' P.J. Williams: Interception Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Williams recorded three tackles, all solo, three pass defensed and one interception in Sunday's loss to the Rams.

Williams had a phenomenal interception off a tipped ball by Sammy Watkins midway through the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss. It was Williams second interception on the season and he'll now be tasked with going up against Cam Newton and Panthers' passing attack Sunday.

Saints' P.J. Williams: First career interception
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Williams had three tackles (two solo) and an interception in Sunday's 34-13 win against the Panthers.

The interception was the first of Williams' career. Despite entering his third season with the Saints, injuries have limited the 2015 third-round draft pick to only 21 career games. Opposing quarterbacks have picked on Williams in coverage thus far this year -- his 21 total tackles are actually the most by any Saints defender -- but he should continue to play plenty of snaps with Delvin Breaux (broken fibula) out for at least another three weeks. Until Breaux returns, Williams should remain a decent IDP option in many leagues.
