Falcons' Duron Harmon: Heading to Atlanta
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Harmon signed a contract with the Falcons on Thursday, Michael Rothstein of reports.

Though he spent seven seasons with the Patriots, Harmon's 2020 campaign in Detroit was his first as a full-time starter, tallying 73 tackles and two interceptions over 16 games. The 30-year-old will aim to have another starting safety gig in Atlanta for the 2021 season.

Lions' Duron Harmon: Posts 73 tackles
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Harmon racked up 73 tackles, five pass breakups and two interceptions over 16 games in 2020.

Harmon again made it through a full 16 games for the seventh straight season, but this year was his first as a full-time starter, with him seeing at least 92 percent of the defensive snaps in every game. While the ex-Patriots only reached at least six tackles twice -- compared to five times for teammate Tracy Walker over just 10 fully healthy games -- Harmon's consistent presence was invaluable for a Lions defense that was ravaged by injuries and went on to record franchise-worst marks in points (519) and yards allowed (6,978). As such, the one-year deal Harmon signed last offseason proved to be a nice gamble for the soon-to-be 30-year-old safety, who should have a decent reception when free agency opens this spring.

Lions' Duron Harmon: Eyeing starting gig with Lions
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Harmon said Friday that he hopes to play over 90 percent of defensive snaps in Detroit, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Harmon spent the first seven years of his career serving as a rotational safety in New England, serving as the team's No. 3 option in recent seasons. The 29-year-old will now reunite with coach Matt Patricia in Detroit, where he stands to spend the summer competing for a starting safety gig opposite Tracy Walker. It remains likely, of course, that the Lions will bring in additional competition as the offseason continues.

Lions' Duron Harmon: Dealt to Lions
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Patriots traded Harmon to the Lions on Wednesday in a deal that also involves a swap of late-round picks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Per Ben Volin of The Boston Globe, the move clears up about $3.5 million in cap space for the Patriots, while simultaneously bolstering the Lions' depth at safety. Harmon, who New England selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, recorded 22 tackles and two picks during the 2019 season.

Harmon had two tackles (one solo) and an interception in Thursday's win over the Giants.

Patriots' Duron Harmon: Tallies eight tackles Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Harmon recorded eight tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's loss to Detroit.

Harmon's eight tackles were more than his total from the first two weeks combined. He saw an uptick in snaps with Patrick Chung (concussion) held out, and he'll fill a similar role in Week 4 if Chung's absence extends another week.

Patriots' Duron Harmon: Potentially facing legal trouble
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Harmon recently was denied entry into Costa Rica for trying to bring marijuana into the country, reports.

Harmon was detained by Costa Rican authorities and then sent back to the United States. The Patriots have acknowledged they're aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering more information. The 27-year-old safety only has 15 starts and 115 tackles in 79 career regular-season games, but he's shown a nose for the ball by picking off 11 passes, including a career-high four last season. It won't come as any surprise if this incident leads to a suspension.

Harmon (knee) played 20 defensive snaps in Saturday's preseason game against the Texans.

Patriots' Duron Harmon: Hampered by knee
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Harmon was unable to finish practice Saturday due to a knee injury, Mike Reiss of ESPN reports.

Harmon underwent ankle surgery during the offseason, which led to questions about his availability for the beginning of training camp. However, he now appears to be slowed down by a different issue. The severity of his knee problem is unknown at this time, and he should be considered day-to-day.

Patriots' Duron Harmon: Re-signs with Patriots
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Harmon signed a four-year, $20 million contract with the Patriots on Thursday, Mike Reiss of ESPN reports.

Harmon was the Patriots' top reserve safety behind Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung in 2016, finishing the season with 29 tackles and two passes defensed, including an interception, while playing in all 16 regular season games. At one point viewed as a major reach when the Patriots tabbed him 91st overall in the 2013 NFL draft, Harmon has solidified his standing in the team's secondary and figures to continue to see his share of snaps in the Patriots' sub defense packages in 2017.
