Colts' Malik Hooker: Participating in team drills
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hooker (knee) participated in full-team drills during Saturday's practice, Stephen Holder of The Indianapolis Star reports.

While the Colts weren't practicing in full pads, Hooker's participation in team drills is still significant considering it marks the first time he's done so since tearing his ACL midway through the 2017 season. However, it still isn't clear if Hooker will be allowed to participate in any preseason games in advance of Week 1.

Colts' Malik Hooker: Activated off PUP list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hooker (knee) was activated off the Physically Unable to Perform list Thursday, Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan Indianapolis reports.

Hooker was taken 15th overall by Indianapolis in the 2017 draft, but he missed much of his rookie season due to an October knee injury. Likely a starter when healthy, Hooker is eligible to practice as early as Friday, but the team may choose to ease him into sessions by limiting his participation early on.

Colts' Malik Hooker: To begin camp on PUP list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

General manager Chris Ballard said Hooker (knee) will begin training camp on the team's Physically Unable to Perform list, Zak Keefer of the Indianapolis Star reports.

Ballard indicated that Hooker could be back on the field as soon as mid-August, though it's possible that the safety's absence could extend into the preseason. With Clayton Geathers (knee) also working his way back from injury, T.J. Green or Ronald Martin are the favorites to open training camp with the first-team defense.

Colts' Malik Hooker: Progressing through rehab
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hooker (knee) was limited in offseason workouts, but the Colts feel good about his progress, Andrew Walker of Colts.com reports.

Hooker played just seven games in his rookie season for the Colts and produced 22 tackles (16 solo), four pass breakups and three interceptions. The Ohio State product is expected to lock in the one of two starting safety spots along with Matthias Farley, while Clayton Geathers plays a rotational role. Still, Hooker's usage will depend on his health, and nothing is certain coming off late-October ACL and MCL tears.

Colts' Malik Hooker: Sports cleats, runs Tuesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hooker (knee) ran in cleats Tuesday for the first time since suffering a torn ACL and MCL last November, the Indianapolis Star reports.

Hooker led the team with three interceptions prior to suffering the injury, but he was only able to log seven games in his first NFL season. It appears Hooker is progressing well in his rehab, though a return to full contact during training camp would be a major step forward from his current rehab status.
