Rams' Taylor Rapp: Turns in excellent second half
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rapp recorded six tackles (four solo), an interception and a pass defensed during Sunday's 31-24 win over Arizona.

The strong showing continued an excellent second-half surge consisting of 68 tackles (45 solo), two interceptions, six passes defensed and a fumble recovery through nine games for the rookie. Rapp emerged as a reliable contributor in the tackles column while also showing big-play potential. He projects to be a consistent contributor in a majority of IDP settings for the 2020 fantasy season.

Rams' Taylor Rapp: Stacks up 10 stops
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rapp made 10 tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 44-21 loss to the Cowboys.

The rookie second-round pick out of Washington brought his tackle total to 89 this year, ranking third on the team behind Cory Littleton (124) and Eric Weddle (95). Rapp continues to be an every-down player, and this was his third double-digit tackling effort of the year. He'll look to stay on track in Week 16 against the 49ers.

Rams' Taylor Rapp: Records first INT of career
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rapp notched two solo tackles, two defended passes and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown during Sunday's 34-7 win over the Cardinals.

Rapp's first career interception came in the form of a pick-six of Kyler Murray. The rookie second-round pick also nabbed a pass earlier in the Week 13 contest, but the play was called back due to a pass interference penalty on Nickell Robey-Coleman. Rapp will look to bounce back to his usual strong tackle numbers against the Seahawks in Week 14.

Rams' Taylor Rapp: Adds 10 more tackles
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rapp registered 10 tackles (six solo) and one pass defensed in Monday's 45-6 loss to the Ravens.

Rapp has averaged nearly 10 tackles per game over the Rams' past four contests, taking advantage of an increased snap share since fellow safety John Johnson (shoulder) was placed on IR in mid-October.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rapp collected eight tackles (seven solo) and broke up a pass Sunday in the Rams' 17-7 win over the Bears.

Rapp displaced Marqui Christian as the Rams' starting strong safety in Week 7 and has emerged as one of the top IDP options at the position. Over the last four games, Rapp has notched 35 tackles (27 solo) while breaking up two passes.

Rams' Taylor Rapp: Showing off as starter
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rapp played all 74 defensive snaps and recorded nine tackles (six solo) during Sunday's 17-12 loss to Pittsburgh.

This was Rapp's third consecutive start, and he's recorded a rock-solid 27 tackles (20 solo) during the stint. With John Johnson (shoulder) on injured reserve, Rapp's positioned to continue padding the tackles column and should be owned in the majority of IDP settings.

Rams' Taylor Rapp: Piles up 12 stops
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rapp registered 12 tackles (nine solo) and a pass breakup in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Bengals.

Rapp has sat out for just one defensive snap over the last two weeks, so it appears he has usurped Marqui Christian as the Rams' starting strong safety. The rookie second-round pick is thriving in the role, as he led the team in tackles in this contest. He now has 44 stops and three pass breakups through seven games, and he'll enjoy a bye week before firing up again for Week 10's road game versus the Steelers.

Rapp (ankle) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Seahawks, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Rapp is nursing an ankle injury suffered during Week 4's loss to the Buccaneers, and he hasn't yet resumed practicing. As long as the rookie second-round pick is unable to go, expect Marqui Christian to replace him as a rotational player in the Rams' secondary.

Rapp (ankle) is considered doubtful for Thursday's game against the Seahawks, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Rapp (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers, Lindsey Thiry of reports.

The rookie second-round pick made an immediate impact on the Rams' defense with 17 tackles over the first three games. Rapp is a rotational piece, though, and Marqui Christian is expected to have an increased role in his absence.

Rams' Taylor Rapp: Impresses in debut
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rapp recorded eight tackles (four solo) during Sunday's 30-27 win over Carolina.

The Rams' second-round selection this spring made an impact when on the field, as he played just 32 of 67 defensive snaps. Additionally, with Eric Weddle (concussion) currently in the concussion protocol, there's potential for Rapp's playing time to increase. As a three-year starter at Washington -- and a standout during his first professional offseason -- the rookie could quickly become a serviceable asset in IDP settings.

Rams' Taylor Rapp: Headed to Los Angeles
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Rams selected Rapp in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, 61st overall.

Rapp (6-foot, 208 pounds) is a Washington product who probably projects more as a strong safety than a centerfielder, which seemingly might overlap a bit with incumbent starter John Johnson, who posted 119 tackles last year for the Rams. Rapp will eventually compete for the starting spot currently held by Eric Weddle, no doubt a stopgap measure despite his name recognition. Rapp was unable to run a clean 40 time due to a hip issue, but he posted excellent agility numbers at the combine (6.82-second three-cone drill, 3.99-second 20-yard shuttle).
