Hollister, who was placed on the Non-Football Injury list Wednesday, will undergo back surgery, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
Hollister will subsequently miss the entire 2018 season following the surgery. The 24-year-old hopes to be ready in time for the 2019 season.
Hollister (undisclosed) reverted to Patriots' Non-Football Injury list Wednesday, Ben Volin of The Boston Globe reports.
The wideout passed through waivers unclaimed after being cut loose by the Patriots, so he'll remain on the NFI list with an opportunity to join practice at any point during the preseason.
Hollister (undisclosed) was waived off the Patriots' non-football injury list, Kevin Duffy of MassLive.com reports.
If Hollister clears waivers, he'll revert back to the non-football injury list and need an injury settlement before he can find another team. He played college football at Arkansas, where he posted 27 receptions, 342 yards and one touchdown in three years. The 24-year-old was unemployed for the 2017 season, though, and he'll be a long shot to make an NFL roster again.
Hollister (undisclosed) was placed on the Non-Football Injury list, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
The extent of the injury remains relatively unknown, but more information should be made available as camp progresses. Hollister could have an opportunity to see expanded reps this preseason, should he return soon, given Malcolm Mitchell's knee surgery, Julian Edelman's suspension and Kenny Britt's hamstring injury.
