Dickerson was previously waived by the Giants on Oct. 21, but he has rejoined the team following the placement of Quadree Henderson (shoulder) on injured reserve. With the status of Evan Engram (hamstring) up in the air, Dickerson will provide New York with depth at the tight end position heading into Sunday's tilt against the Bears.
The Giants waived Dickerson on Sunday, Michael Eisen of the team's official site reports.
The Giants were in need of depth at wide receiver so they signed Quandree Henderson, and Dickerson was the casualty. Dickerson worked with the practice squad earlier this season and he'll likely end up there.
Dickerson's spot on the 53-man roster was made available due to Evan Engram (knee) being sidelined for the foreseeable future. The undrafted rookie will serve as a depth tight end behind Rhett Ellison and Scott Simonson.
