  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Playing through left knee issue

Young has been playing through a left knee issue since initially suffering the injury in Week 3 against the Browns, Mike Kaye of ESPN.com reports. Young has been wearing a brace on the left knee, but the quarterback refused to blame the injury for his poor performance of late. However, coach Dave Canales said after Thursday night's 27-19 loss to the Packers that he notices Young doesn't have the escapability in the pocket behind Carolina's makeshift offensive line. Young was pressured on nearly half of his dropbacks against Green Bay and was unable to make anything happen down the field in the passing game. He'll have 10 days to rest his knee before a Week 9 date with the Broncos.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Struggles again in defeat

Young completed 23 of 41 passes for 209 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Panthers' 27-19 loss to the Packers on Thursday. Young was under pressure all night, ultimately taking six sacks. The slumping signal-caller also averaged a season-low 5.1 yards per attempt thanks to the scant time he typically had to scan the field, a development that helped lead to Young's top two pass catchers on the night, Tetairoa McMillan and Chuba Hubbard, averaging just 9.5 and 5.4 yards per reception, respectively. Young salvaged his fantasy night to an extent with a 26-yard touchdown strike to Jalen Coker with under six minutes remaining in the game, and he'll have a tough assignment with which to try and snap out of his slump when the Broncos visit for a Week 9 matchup on Sunday, Nov. 8.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Pair of INTs in Week 7 loss

Young completed 14 of 27 passes for 163 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions and added one carry for nine yards in the Panthers' 43-13 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. Young's performance was a microcosm of the Panthers' day as a whole, as the 2023 first overall pick posted a season-low passing yardage tally and completed under 52.0 percent of his passes for the second straight game. Young also tossed multiple picks for the first time this season, and the two miscues led to 10 total points for Tampa Bay. The entire afternoon was essentially a throwaway game for Carolina, and Young and his teammates will look to quickly rebound in a Week 8 road matchup against the Packers on Thursday night.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: QBs to Start

Young has scored at least 23.8 Fantasy points in all but one game this season, and he has passed for at least 281 yards in every outing this year. According to Pro Football Focus, Young joined Aaron Rodgers (2011), Drew Brees (2013) and Peyton Manning (2013) as the only four quarterbacks in the past 15 years to throw for at least 280 yards and one touchdown in each of their team's first five games of a season. This won't be an easy matchup since Tampa Bay has held Joe Burrow, Jordan Love and Dak Prescott to 17.1 Fantasy points or less, and only Deshaun Watson in Week 2 and Aaron Rodgers in Week 6 scored at least 20 Fantasy points against the Buccaneers. But I'm still starting Young with confidence in Week 7, and he has scored at least 20.5 Fantasy points in four straight games against Tampa Bay dating back to 2024.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Elevated yardage numbers in win

Young completed 20 of 39 passes for 281 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and added three rushes for six yards in the Panthers' 25-14 win over the Eagles on Sunday. Young's pair of scoring tosses went to Tommy Tremble from 12 and 19 yards out in the second and fourth quarter, respectively. The 2023 first overall pick's multi-touchdown effort was his fourth of the season, and Young hasn't thrown for fewer than Sunday's total in any of his five games while also generating a stellar 11:2 TD:INT. Young and the Panthers next take aim at the Buccaneers defense when Tampa Bay pays a visit for a Week 7 divisional showdown on Sunday.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: QBs to Start

Young went into his bye in Week 5 having scored at least 25.5 Fantasy points in three of his first four games, and he should stay hot against the Eagles in Week 6. I like Young as a borderline top-10 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues. Philadelphia has allowed four of five quarterbacks this season to score at least 20.1 Fantasy points, and Matthew Stafford and Trevor Lawrence combined for 648 yards in the past two games against the Eagles. Jalen Coker (quadriceps) should return in Week 6 after sitting out Week 5, which gives Young an added boost in this matchup, as well as the potential return of right tackle Taylor Moton (blood clots).

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Tosses two TDs to Tet

Young completed 29 of 41 passes for 329 yards and two touchdowns while rushing three times for three yards in Sunday's 32-26 win over the Lions. Young found Tetairoa McMillan for touchdown passes of 32 and 10 yards as they connected 14 times for 192 yards in the absence of Jalen Coker (quadriceps) and Xavier Legette (knee), the latter of whom is on IR. Young cooled off in the fourth quarter after leading the Panthers to a 29-19 advantage through three, but Carolina held on for its second win of the season. The 2023 first overall pick is off to a stellar start in 2026, with 1,268 passing yards and a 9:2 TD:INT through four games. Young and the Panthers will be on bye in Week 5 before facing Philadelphia in Week 6.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: QBs to Start

Young had his first bad game of the season in Week 3 at Cleveland with 15.6 Fantasy points, which snapped his two-game streak of scoring at least 30.1 Fantasy points. He still managed 291 passing yards against the Browns, and he should bounce back against the Lions at home. Detroit is No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and Tyler Shough, Josh Allen and Geno Smith have all scored at least 29.2 Fantasy points against the Lions this year. We'll see if Jalen Coker (quadriceps) can play in Week 4, but even if Coker is out, I still like Young as a top-10 Fantasy quarterback in this matchup.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Opens week with full practice

Young (knee) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Young played every snap in this past Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Browns, but he made a visit to the blue medical tent on the Carolina sideline at one point during the contest to get his knee checked out. The knee issue evidently isn't a concern heading into Week 4, when Young and the Panthers will be preparing to face off against a Lions defense that has surrendered an NFL-high 299.3 passing yards per game through three contests. Young will profile as a strong fantasy option this week, even while the status of one of his top pass-catching weapons in wideout Jalen Coker (quadriceps) remains somewhat murky.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Big passing yardage total in loss

Young completed 26 of 48 passes for 291 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Panthers' 21-18 loss to the Browns on Sunday. Young's passing yardage total was impressive in defeat, especially considering he lost No. 2 receiver Jalen Coker to a quadriceps injury during the contest. However, the fourth-year signal-caller also struggled at times against an aggressive Browns defense that sacked him three times and recorded a game-sealing interception at Cleveland's 46-yard line. After the game, per Joe Person of The Athletic, head coach Dave Canales told reporters that a lower-body injury appeared to impact Young on some throws, which may help explain some of the struggles he endured. Young still has an impressive 7:2 TD:INT and has thrown for 939 yards over his first three games heading into a Week 4 home clash with the Lions next Sunday night.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: QBs to Start

We'll see which version of Cleveland's defense shows up in Week 3, but the Browns allowed Trevor Lawrence to score 33.8 Fantasy points in Week 1, while Baker Mayfield was limited to 14.2 Fantasy points in Week 2. I don't think Cleveland will stop Young, who is hot right now with at least 30.1 Fantasy points in each of his first two games against Chicago and Atlanta. Young has now scored at least 20.5 Fantasy points in seven of his past 10 games going back to last season, including the playoffs, and he should be considered a low-end starter in all leagues for Week 3 against the Browns.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Week 3 Waiver Priority List

Young was again awesome in Week 2 at Atlanta with 30.1 Fantasy points, which came after scoring 37.4 points in Week 1 against Chicago. He has now scored at least 20.5 Fantasy points in seven of his past 10 games going back to last season, including the playoffs, and he should be considered a low-end starter in all leagues for Week 3 at Cleveland. Young is worth adding in all leagues for at least 5 percent of your remaining FAAB.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Crisp multi-TD performance in win

Young completed 23 of 36 passes for 287 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions and added one carry for six yards in the Panthers' 34-3 win over the Falcons on Sunday. The Panthers weren't particularly threatened by the Falcons at any point Sunday, so Young's robust passing yardage total was particularly noteworthy in that context. The 2023 first overall pick posted a second straight three-touchdown performance to open the season, connecting with Chuba Hubbard (three yards) and Darren Waller (seven, 12 yards) for his trio of scoring tosses. Young hooked up with eight different targets overall on the afternoon, and with 648 passing yards and six touchdowns versus one interception through the first pair of contests, he's clicking on all cylinders heading into a Week 3 road matchup against the Browns.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Sleeper QBs

The last two times Young went to Atlanta he combined for 699 passing yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions and six carries for 23 yards and two touchdowns. He scored at least 37.8 Fantasy points in each outing. Young just scored 37.4 Fantasy points in Week 1 against Chicago and is worth using as a starter in deeper leagues.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Week 2 Waiver Priority List

Young got off to a great start against the Bears in Week 1 with 361 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception, and he added 10 rushing yards and a touchdown. We shouldn't expect 37.4 Fantasy points on a weekly basis, but he's now scored at least 20.5 Fantasy points in six of his past nine games going back to last season, including the playoffs. He has a solid receiving corps now with Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker, and Young might be a surprise Fantasy quarterback in 2026. He's worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAAB.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Produces four TDs in Week 1 loss

Young completed 23 of 37 passes for 361 yards and three touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 59-37 loss to the Bears. He added 10 yards and a TD on two carries. In the highest-scoring Week 1 contest in NFL history, Young did his part to try and keep Carolina in the game, but his defense couldn't slow down Chicago's ground game. The fourth-year QB tossed one score to Chuba Hubbard in the first quarter and two to Jalen Coker in the second and fourth while also running one in himself from seven yards out in the second quarter. Young accounted for a career-high 25 touchdowns (23 through the air, two on the ground) in the 2025 regular season, and he's off to a flying start in the quest to top that number this season. He'll look to stay sharp in Week 2 on the road against the Falcons.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Leads scoring drive in preseason win

Young completed five of six passes for 49 yards in Friday's 34-17 preseason win over the Jaguars. The Panthers played their starters for the first quarter while their opposition didn't, and it paid off when Young led a scoring drive on his second and final possession, capped by a one-yard TD plunge by Jonathon Brooks. That could be Young's last tune-up of the preseason, as Carolina plays one more exhibition game next Friday against Houston before turning its attention to Week 1 and the Bears.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Little production in preseason loss

Young completed three of five passes for 18 yards in Saturday's 29-14 preseason loss to the Bills. The fourth-year QB got the start and played into the second quarter after sitting out the Panthers' preseason opener last week in the Hall of Fame Game, but the offense couldn't get much going as all three of Young's possessions ended in punts. The 2023 first overall pick has yet to prove he can be a franchise quarterback in the NFL, or even a reliable fantasy option, but Young did take a small step forward in 2025 by setting career highs in completion rate (63.6 percent), passing yards (3,011) and passing TDs (23) over 16 regular-season games.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Will play in preseason opener

Head coach Dave Canales told reporters Sunday that Young and the Panthers starters will play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Bills, Kassidy Hill of the team's official site reports. Canales added that the starters will get about 10-to-20 reps in Buffalo. Young, the No. 1 overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, is coming off the best year of his three-year career. Across 17 regular-season games in 2025, he completed 63.6 percent of his passes for 3,011 yards, 23 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while adding 216 yards and two scores on 54 carries. The fifth-year option on Young's rookie contract was picked up for the 2027 season, and it looks like any contract negotiations between the 25-year-old quarterback and the Panthers won't take place until after the 2026 campaign.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Contract option picked up

The Panthers have officially exercised the fifth-year option on Young's rookie contract, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. The anticipated move will keep the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft under contract with Carolina through the 2027 season. The 24-year-old is coming off a career year in 2025, during which he set new highs in passing yards (3,011), TDs (23), completion percentage (63.6) and passer rating (87.8), among other other categories, over the course of 16 regular-season contests. Since then, the Panthers signed Kenny Pickett to back up Young and added deep threat Chris Brazzell in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft, providing Young a player with upside to fortify a WR corps that returns Tetairoa McMillan, Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette.
