  • Canadiens' Evgenii Dadonov: Shipped to Montreal

Dadonov was traded from the Golden Knights to the Canadiens on Thursday in exchange for Shea Weber (ankle). The Golden Knights will finally get the cap relief they sought at the trade deadline when they failed to complete a deal with the Ducks for Dadonov. The 33-year-old winger finished the year strong, ending with 43 points, 177 shots on net and 65 hits in 78 contests. Dadonov should have a chance to compete for a top-six role with the Canadiens.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Dishes pair of helpers

Dadonov provided two assists and went plus-2 in Friday's 7-4 win over the Blues. Dadonov ended his three-game point drought Friday. The 33-year-old winger had an up-and-down first season with the Golden Knights. Overall, he posted 20 goals, 23 assists, 177 shots on net, 65 hits and a plus-4 rating, but it took a noticeable surge after the trade deadline --16 points in as many games -- to make his season numbers look more respectable. He has one year left on his contract, but Dadonov could be a trade candidate if the Golden Knights need to free up cap space.

Dadonov scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist and added two PIM in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Capitals. Dadonov and Shea Theodore helped out on each other's goals in the contest. This was Dadonov's sixth multi-point effort in his last 12 outings. The 33-year-old winger has 20 goals, 41 points, 175 shots on net, 64 hits and a plus-4 rating in 74 appearances this season, a strong bounce-back from his 20-point campaign in 55 contests last year.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: One of each in big win

Dadonov scored a goal, dished an assist and went plus-3 in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Flames. Dadonov earned his fifth multi-point effort in the last nine games. In that span, the 33-year-old winger has four goals and eight assists. He was back in a third-line role Thursday, but it didn't slow him down on offense. That's good news for fantasy managers in need of a late-season boost of points. The winger has 19 goals, 20 helpers, 170 shots on net, 62 hits and a plus-7 rating in 71 appearances.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Slings helper in overtime loss

Dadonov notched an assist, two hits and two PIM in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Canucks. Dadonov set up the first of Shea Theodore's two goals in the third period. The 33-year-old Dadonov continues to look good on offense with three goals and seven helpers in his last eight games. The veteran winger has 37 points, 169 shots on net, 62 hits and a plus-4 rating through 70 contests. As long as he remains on the top line with Jack Eichel, Dadonov should be a solid depth option in most fantasy formats.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Goal and assist in win

Dadonov scored a goal, logged an assist, went plus-2 and added two hits in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Coyotes. Dadonov tallied in the second period and set up a Jack Eichel goal in the third. With Max Pacioretty back from an undisclosed injury, it's unclear if Dadonov will remain in a top-line role much longer. He's done well to earn the spot lately with nine points in his last seven outings. The 33-year-old is up to 18 tallies, 36 points, 168 shots on net, 60 hits and a plus-3 rating through 69 contests this season.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Posts pair of helpers

Dadonov recorded two assists, two shots on net and a plus-3 rating in Friday's 5-2 win over the Kraken. Dadonov set up second-period goals by Jack Eichel and Shea Theodore. The 33-year-old Dadonov has only been held off the scoresheet twice in his last eight games, recording six goals and five helpers in that span. A top-line role has worked well for him lately, and he's up to 34 points, 165 shots, an even plus-minus rating and 56 hits through 66 contests.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Two points including OT winner

Dadonov scored the game-winning goal in overtime and added an assist in Saturday's 5-4 victory over Chicago. The 33-year-old hasn't been shaken by the cancelled trade that would have sent him to Anaheim, lighting the lamp in his fourth straight game and completing an improbable comeback in a game Vegas was trailing 3-0 heading into the third period. Dadonov has been streaky all season but the rollercoaster is on the climb right now, and he has seven goals and 11 points over his last 11 games.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Three-pointer after whirlwind week

Dadonov scored a power-play goal on three shots and added a pair of assists in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Predators. Dadonov's trade Monday to the Ducks was canceled after his no-trade clause was revealed to have Anaheim as a no-go destination. What could have been an awkward reunion with the Golden Knights turned out great for player and team as they got a much-needed win with Dadonov playing a key role. The 33-year-old winger is up to 16 tallies, 30 points (eight on the power play), 157 shots on net and a minus-2 rating in 63 contests overall. With the Golden Knights very thin at forward due to injuries, Dadonov should see a top-six role in the near term.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Expected to play Thursday

Dadonov is expected to be in the lineup for Thursday's game versus Nashville, Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic reports. Dadonov's trade to the Ducks was invalidated Wednesday because his limited no-trade clause was not complied with, so he'll be right back in the Golden Knights' lineup against the Predators. He's picked up 15 goals and 27 points through 62 contests this season.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Trade canceled

The NHL has invalidated Monday's trade of Dadonov and a second-round pick from Vegas in exchange for Ryan Kesler (hip) and John Moore from Anaheim. It was revealed Dadonov had a limited no-trade clause that included the Ducks after Monday's deal was completed, so the NHL had no choice but to retroactively cancel the trade. The Golden Knights are in a major bind in terms of the salary cap, so they may still try to move Dadonov to a team like the Coyotes in a post-deadline trade, but that would typically result in the player being ineligible to play the rest of the season. However, this is obviously a unique situation, so the NHL could decide to make an exception for Dadonov. Dadonov's outlook for the remainder of the campaign should become clearer in the coming days.

  • Ducks' Evgenii Dadonov: Status in limbo

Dadonov's trade to Anaheim is currently being reviewed by the NHL and NHLPA, leaving his status as a member of the Ducks in flux, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports. According to reports, Dadonov's contract contains a modified no-trade clause that requires him to submit a 10-team list of prohibited teams that presumably includes Anaheim. If the trade is indeed voided, the Russian winger would remain on the Golden Knights' roster while John Moore and Ryan Kesler's contract would revert to the Ducks.

  • Ducks' Evgenii Dadonov: Traded in cap dump

The Golden Knights traded Dadonov and a second-round draft pick to the Ducks in exchange for John Moore and Ryan Kesler (hip) on Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. This deal came out of left field, but it will help the Golden Knights shed salary cap space. Activating Jack Eichel from LTIR earlier this season would have put Vegas over the salary cap but Mark Stone (back) was placed on LTIR just before Eichel's activation. Vegas could have chosen to follow in Tampa Bay's footsteps and purposely keep Stone out until the playoffs, but moving Dadonov will create the cap space necessary to activate Stone during the regular season. On the Ducks, Dadonov will likely slide into the top-six role recently vacated by the trade that sent Rickard Rakell to Pittsburgh.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Continues scoring uptick

Dadonov scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Kings. Dadonov opened the scoring at 18:19 of the first period. He's netted five goals in his last seven outings since he snapped a 17-game drought. The 33-year-old winger is up to 15 tallies, 27 points, 154 shots on net, 52 hits and a minus-3 rating in 62 contests, mainly playing in a middle-six role.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Sparks offense with two goals

Dadonov scored twice, including one power-play goal, in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Panthers. Dadonov's tallies both game in the second period, though the Golden Knights weren't able to maintain the 3-1 lead he created. The winger has scored four times in his last six outings to overcome a slump that lasted throughout February. He's up to 14 goals, 26 points (six on the power play), 151 shots on net and a minus-4 rating through 61 contests.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Scores lone goal in Tuesday's loss

Dadonov scored a power-play goal on four shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Flyers. Dadonov cut the deficit to a goal in the second period, but the Golden Knights couldn't solve Carter Hart again. This tally snapped Dadonov's 17-game goal drought, a span in which he recorded just two helpers. The winger has 23 points, 136 shots on net and a plus-2 rating in 56 outings overall.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Snaps long slump with assist

Dadonov recorded an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 5-4 win over the Ducks. Dadonov hadn't gotten on the scoresheet since Jan. 20 versus the Canadiens. He went 14 games without a point before helping out on Ben Hutton's first-period tally Friday. Dadonov's move up to the top line during Max Pacioretty's (lower body) absence hasn't done much for the former's offense. Through 54 outings, Dadonov has 22 points, 131 shots on net, 47 hits and a plus-2 rating. Fantasy managers may want to watch him from afar until he shows more consistent production.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Ice cold on offense

Dadonov has mustered 26 shots on goal and a minus-7 rating during an 11-game point drought. Dadonov started 2022 hot with seven points in as many games in the new year, but he's been held off the scoresheet ever since. The 32-year-old is at 21 points, 126 shots, 46 hits and a minus-1 rating through 50 appearances overall. Dadonov would typically play in a third-line role, but absences for a handful of Vegas wingers could see him on the top line for Saturday's contest against the Avalanche.

  • Golden Knights' Evgenii Dadonov: Logs helper Thursday

Dadonov produced an assist and five shots on goal in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canadiens. Dadonov set up Chandler Stephenson on the opening tally Thursday. Through seven games in January, Dadonov is thriving with two goals and five helpers. The Russian winger has 10 goals, 21 points, 100 shots on net and a plus-6 rating while moving all around the top three lines for the Golden Knights this season. With Max Pacioretty (wrist) and Mark Stone (COVID-19 protocols) both out, Dadonov should have no trouble staying on the top line a while longer.

The Russian winger is up to 20 points, 95 shots on net, 34 hits and a plus-6 rating in 38 contests overall.
