Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Solid breakaway results
Janmark scored a goal Thursday in a 6-3 win over Dallas in Game 5.
Janmark made it 2-0 on a breakaway when he went five-hole on Jake Oettinger at 7:09 of the first period. It was Edmonton's second shot, and it forced Jake Oettinger out out of the game after he failed to record a save. Janmark is a strong bottom-six pivot who understands his role perfectly. Every team needs a player like him; fantasy managers typically don't.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Slings helper in win
Janmark logged an assist in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Kings in Game 6.
Janmark finished the first round with three points over six games, which is decent work given his bottom-six role. He's added five shots on net, seven hits, eight PIM and a plus-3 rating. Janmark is a lock to stay in the lineup thanks to his defensive work, and he'll get to face one of his former teams, the Golden Knights, in the second round.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Buries go-ahead goal
Janmark scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and logged two hits in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Kings in Game 5.
Janmark has scored twice over five playoff contests, matching his goal total from 80 regular-season appearances. The defensive forward has added five shots on net, six hits, eight PIM and a plus-3 rating this postseason. While he's providing a little depth scoring, it's unlikely to be a consistent part of his production as long as he's playing on the fourth line.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Pots goal in Game 1 loss
Janmark scored a goal and added two hits in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Kings in Game 1.
Janmark ended a 30-game goal drought with his tally early in the third period. The 32-year-old forward saw a larger role as the Oilers were banged up late in the regular season, but he was back on the fourth line Monday with the team at nearly full health at forward. Janmark put up 18 points, 51 shots on net and a minus-6 rating over 80 regular-season games, and given his place in the lineup, he likely won't be much of a factor on offense in the postseason.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Posts helper in win
Janmark notched an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Sharks.
Janmark ended a 13-game point drought with his assist on a Jeff Skinner tally in the second period. The 32-year-old Janmark continues to see steady usage in a middle-six role, but it's mostly for his defensive skills, not his scoring. He's at 18 points, 47 shots on net, 38 hits, 33 blocked shots, 18 PIM and a minus-3 rating through 73 contests this season.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Checking back in Friday
Janmark (illness) will play Friday versus the Islanders, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.
Janmark missed Thursday's game while recovering from an illness. He's good enough to play Friday, and he'll replace Max Jones on the fourth line. Janmark logged just one assist over nine contests prior to his absence.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Out of lineup Thursday
Janmark (illness) will not play Thursday versus the Devils, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.
Janmark was deemed questionable as of Wednesday and will ultimately have to miss a game while under the weather. Kasperi Kapanen will replace Janmark in the lineup. It's unclear if Janmark will be able to suit up versus the Islanders on Friday.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Questionable for Thursday
Janmark is questionable for Thursday's clash against New Jersey due to an illness, per Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels.
Janmark has two goals and 17 points in 63 appearances in 2024-25. If he can't play against the Devils, then Kasperi Kapanen will probably draw into the lineup.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Snags assist Saturday
Janmark recorded an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and two PIM in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Hurricanes.
Janmark has two helpers over his last six contests. He was also a healthy scratch once in that span. The Oilers have rotated Janmark, Corey Perry, Jeff Skinner, Kasperi Kapanen and Matthew Savoie out of the lineup at times, so none of those players can be considered a safe bet in fantasy. Janmark helps his cause through defensive play, and he's had an alright year on offense with 17 points, 38 shots on net and a minus-5 rating across 59 appearances.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Garners helper in overtime win
Janmark logged an assist in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blackhawks.
This was Janmark's first helper since Dec. 22 versus the Senators. He also has just one goal over his last 20 outings, though it shouldn't be considered unusual for him to go through long droughts given his bottom-six role. The 32-year-old has produced 16 points, 33 shots on net, 22 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating across 54 contests in 2024-25, which is already better than his 12-point 2023-24 regular season.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Ends slump Monday
Janmark scored a goal in Monday's 4-2 win over Seattle.
Janmark found the back of the net for the first time since Nov. 3, and he also snapped a 15-game point drought. The lack of scoring totals limits his upside considerably, however, and with Janmark playing in a bottom-six role, that situation isn't expected to change any time soon.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Stuck in slump
Janmark's point drought reached 15 games in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Sabres.
Even a bump up to the top six during Connor McDavid's three-game suspension wasn't enough to lift Janmark out of his slump. Those top-six duties are likely over Monday versus the Kraken, with Janmark the most logical choice to end up back on the third line. The 32-year-old forward has a goal, 13 assists, 30 shots on net and a minus-3 rating over 49 outings this season, but his role as a primarily defensive forward often doesn't make him a fantasy-friendly player.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Notches helper in win
Janmark logged an assist in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Senators.
Janmark has four helpers over 10 games in December. After Viktor Arvidsson returned from an undisclosed injury, Janmark had been bumped down to the fourth line, but the latter moved back up to the third line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (illness) unavailable Sunday. The 32-year-old Janmark has contributed 14 points, 17 shots on net and a minus-1 rating over 34 appearances this season. He fills a defensive role in the bottom six, and while he's never been a volume shooter, his low shot total in 2024-25 doesn't bode well for sustaining offense in the long run.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Bags apple in Thursday's win
Janmark provided a shorthanded assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 7-1 win over the Wild.
Janmark set up Connor Brown's shortie in the second period. This was Janmark's second shorthanded point of the season, and he's up to 12 points, 16 shots on net and a plus-1 rating through 29 appearances. He has four assists over his last eight outings to maintain steady depth offense in a third-line role.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Posts assist in win
Janmark logged an assist and two PIM in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Blue Jackets.
Janmark has three helpers over his last eight contests. He hasn't scored since Nov. 3, logging a total of eight assists during his 14-game goal drought. The defensive forward is up to 11 points -- one shy of matching his total from 2023-24 -- through 26 appearances this season.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Records pair of helpers
Janmark notched two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers.
Janmark set up a Darnell Nurse shorthanded tally in the first period and fed Evan Bouchard for a goal in the middle frame. Over the past eight games, Janmark has racked up seven assists, though he's 10 outings removed from his last goal. The defensive forward is up to 10 points, 12 shots, nine hits, seven blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 22 appearances. Janmark's lack of non-scoring production keeps him off the radar for most fantasy formats, but he's been a decent depth scorer in 2024-25.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Posts assist in overtime win
Janmark notched an assist in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Predators.
Janmark has four helpers over his last three games after assisting on a Darnell Nurse tally in the second period. The 31-year-old Janmark is up to one goal, six assists, 10 shots on net and a minus-1 rating through 17 appearances. He's playing regularly in the bottom six, and while he's warm on offense, fantasy managers can likely find more productive options on the waiver wire in most formats.

Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Distributes three helpers in win
Janmark notched three assists and went plus-2 in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Canucks.
Janmark helped out one goal by Corey Perry and two others from Connor Brown. The three-point effort doubled Janmark's total for the season to six (one goal, five helpers). He's added nine shots on net, eight hits and an even plus-minus rating through 15 appearances. The 31-year-old is a fixture in the Oilers' bottom six, but he won't have many games like this one, so he typically doesn't need to be rostered in fantasy.
