  • Sabres' Tyson Jost: Nets first tally with new team

Jost scored a goal during Monday's 6-5 overtime defeat to the visiting Lighting. Jost has mostly struggled to live up to his status as the No. 10 overall pick by the Avalanche during the 2016 NHL Draft. The 24-year-old has a fresh opportunity with his third organization, and he contributed his first goal in 16 outings Monday, including 12 with the Wild. Jost, who was claimed off waivers Nov. 19, has 47 career goals in 357 appearances.

  • Sabres' Tyson Jost: Claimed by Sabres

Buffalo claimed Jost off waivers from Minnesota on Saturday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Jost has contributed three assists, 10 shots on goal, eight blocks and 11 hits in 12 games this season. He will compete for a bottom-six role with the Sabres.

  • Wild's Tyson Jost: Placed on waivers

Jost has been placed on waivers by the Wild on Friday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Jost has struggled throughout his NHL career after he was selected 10th overall in 2016 by the Avalanche, and this is a further blow to his career. Jost had only three assists in 12 games with Minnesota this season and has managed 47 goals and 65 assists in 354 NHL games.

  • Wild's Tyson Jost: Picks up assist

Jost notched an assist and two PIM in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Ducks. Jost set up Joseph Cramarossa's insurance tally in the third period. The 24-year-old Jost has seen under 10 minutes of ice time in each of the last two games -- he's been dropped to the fourth line after a slow start to the year. He's at three assists 10 shots on net, 11 hits, eight blocked shots, 11 PIM and a minus-4 rating in 11 appearances. With a limited role and meager offense, he's not expected to be a factor in most fantasy formats.

  • Wild's Tyson Jost: Logs season-low 8:49 of ice time

Jost logged a season-low 8:49 of ice time in Tuesday's 1-0 loss to Los Angeles. Jost still contributed two hits, bringing him up to 11 in 10 games this season. He also has two assists, 9 PIM, eight blocks and a minus-5 rating in 2022-23. He's being deployed as a bottom-six forward, and that's unlikely to change.

  • Wild's Tyson Jost: Collects helper

Jost notched an assist and blocked three shots in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche. Jost got a turn on the top line at even strength as head coach Dean Evason looks to stabilize his roster's play. It didn't work against the defending champions, but Jost picked up his first point of the year with the secondary helper on a Kirill Kaprizov goal in the first period. Jost had 20 points in 80 games between the Avalanche and the Wild last year, so he's unlikely to be the long-term answer at center between Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello.

  • Wild's Tyson Jost: Practicing on second line

Jost has practiced on the second line with Joel Eriksson Ek and Marcus Foligno during training camp, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic. Jost, Eriksson Ek and Foligno are projected to play together in Saturday's preseason game against Dallas. It's a good opportunity for Jost, who averaged just 12:49 of ice time last season. He finished 2021-22 with eight goals and 20 points in 80 contests, but he should comfortably surpass those numbers this season if he can maintain a top-six role.

  • Wild's Tyson Jost: Scores against former team

Jost scored a goal on his lone shot in Friday's 4-1 win over the Avalanche. Jost buried a feed from Kirill Kaprizov in the first period to give the Wild a 2-0 lead over his former team. The goal was Jost's first in 10 games and just his second with the Wild. The 24-year-old forward wraps up the year with eight goals and 12 assists in 80 games between Colorado and Minnesota.

  • Wild's Tyson Jost: Slated to return

Jost (lower body) is expected to return to the lineup for Friday's game versus the Kraken, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Jost is expected to return to a third-line role following his three-game absence. He's picked up four points through 16 appearances since joining the Wild via a trade in mid-March.

  • Wild's Tyson Jost: Out Thursday, probable Friday

Jost (lower body) remains out Thursday against visiting Vancouver but is expected to play Friday at home versus Seattle, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports. Jost's 18 points in 75 games this season haven't done much to move the fantasy needle, so the fact he'll have missed three consecutive games shouldn't be of much consequence in the virtual arena. Nonetheless, the 24-year-old looks like he'll be ready to go for Friday's game, so those interested should check back prior to puck drop for an update on his status.

  • Wild's Tyson Jost: Out again Tuesday

Jost (lower body) will not play Tuesday in Montreal, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports. Jost will miss his second game with the lower-body issue. It's unclear when he might be able to return, but look for an additional update once a timetable becomes clearer.

  • Wild's Tyson Jost: Won't play Sunday

Jost (lower body) will not play Sunday versus the Sharks, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. The injury Jost suffered Saturday versus the Blues will cost him at least one game. Connor Dewar will enter the lineup against the Sharks in a bottom-six role.

  • Wild's Tyson Jost: Posts first goal with new team

Jost scored a goal in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Capitals. Jost's tally at 1:37 of the first period held up as the game-winner, and it was also his first goal in 10 games since he was traded from the Avalanche. The 24-year-old added a pair of assists in that span, but he's mainly been limited to bottom-six usage with his new team. He's at 17 points, 84 shots on net, 51 hits and 34 PIM through 69 contests overall -- he only needed 54 games to reach that scoring output last season.

  • Wild's Tyson Jost: Acquired via trade

Jost was brought in by the Wild from the Avalanche on Tuesday in exchange for Nico Sturm. Jost has struggled to produce this season with just one goal and two assists in his last 25 games for Colorado. Selected by the organization with the 10th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, the 24-year-old center hasn't exactly lived up to expectations with 103 points in 321 games over six seasons. WIth the Wild, Jost should at least push for a top-six role, though may have to settle for a spot on the third line.

  • Avalanche's Tyson Jost: Suffers jaw injury, plays Monday

Jost sustained a fractured jaw Saturday and required dental repairs over the weekend, Mike Chambers of the Denver Post reports. Despite the injury and needed dental work, Jost dressed for Monday's 5-4 win over the Islanders. He had one shot on net, one hit and two PIM over 9:31 of ice time. The bottom-six forward is scoreless with two shots over his last five games.

  • Avalanche's Tyson Jost: Playing Monday

Jost (face) will be in the lineup versus the Islanders on Monday. Jost has just one goal in his last 21 appearances, along with a pair of helpers, so few fantasy players figure to be impacted by his return to the lineup. Additionally, the fact that the 23-year-old center has managed no shots on net in his last three contests only serves to further depress his fantasy value.

  • Avalanche's Tyson Jost: Leaves game

Jost left Saturday's game against Calgary after taking a puck to the face, Adrian Dater of Colorado Hockey Now reports. He finished with one blocked shot and lost five of six faceoffs over 6:35 of ice time. Jost immediately left the ice for the locker room early in the third period with blood on the ice, per Aarif Deen of Mile High Sports. He can be considered day-to-day heading into Colorado's three-game road trip beginning Monday against the Islanders.

  • Avalanche's Tyson Jost: Back in lineup

Jost had one hit over 13:36 of ice time in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Islanders. Jost returned to the lineup after being a one-game healthy scratch. Colorado head coach Jared Bednar has jockeyed Jost and Nicolas Aube-Kubel in and out of the lineup the previous two games, but both players were active Tuesday when Valeri Nichushkin (upper body) was unavailable. Jost skated at wing on the third line. He has just three points over the last 19 contests and 14 points overall through 53 games.

  • Avalanche's Tyson Jost: Scratched Saturday

Jost was a healthy scratch for Saturday's 3-2 win over Vegas. Jost was replaced on the fourth line by Nicolas Aube-Kubel, who had been a healthy scratch Friday against the Jets. Since defenseman Ryan Murray returned earlier this week and the hybrid Kurtis MacDermid can now be deployed at forward, the Avalanche have an extra winger on the active roster. Head coach Jared Bednar told Adrian Dater of Colorado Hockey Now that he's trying to put the best possible lineup on the ice every night, and it appears Jost is currently the odd man out.

  • Avalanche's Tyson Jost: Bulges twine Wednesday

Jost scored a goal and added two PIM in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings. Jost gave the Avalanche a 2-0 lead at 11:47 of the first period on an assist from Logan O'Connor. This ended Jost's 16-game goal drought, during which he managed just two assists. The 23-year-old's struggled to get much going on offense this season with 14 points, 71 shots on net, 26 PIM and a plus-4 rating in 51 contests. He'll likely remain in a bottom-six role unless the Avalanche suffer significant injuries to top-six forwards.
