  • Sabres' Ethan Prow: Sent to AHL

The Sabres reassigned Prow to AHL Rochester on Friday. Prow played four games and logged an assist after joining the Sabres' roster Dec. 29. Any future injuries or COVID-19 cases among Buffalo's defensemen could result in Prow's promotion to the taxi squad or active roster.

  • Sabres' Ethan Prow: Added to NHL roster

The Sabres recalled Prow from the taxi squad prior to Wednesday's game against New Jersey. Prow will likely replace Colin Miller (undisclosed) on the third defense pairing for Wednesday's contest. Assuming he plays, it will be the 29-year-old's NHL debut.

  • Sabres' Ethan Prow: Joins taxi squad

The Sabres reassigned Prow to their taxi squad Wednesday. The 29-year-old, who's yet to make his NHL debut, will serve as extra insurance in case more COVID-19 cases pop up in Buffalo's defense corps.

  • Sabres' Ethan Prow: Hits waivers

Prow was waived by the Sabres on Tuesday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports. At 28 years of age, Prow still hasn't appeared in an NHL contest, and that likely isn't going to change in 2021-22. The blueliner did, however, rack up nine goals and 32 points through 42 games with AHL Springfield last season.

  • Sabres' Ethan Prow: Signs with Buffalo

Prow signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Sabres on Thursday. Prow spent the 2020-21 campaign with Munich EHC of the DEL, picking up four goals and 20 points while posting a plus-18 rating in 26 games. The 28-year-old blueliner will likely get an opportunity to make Buffalo's Opening Night roster in training camp, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him spend most, if not all of the 2021-22 season in the minors.
