  • Coyotes' Troy Stecher: Pockets assist

Stecher logged an assist, two hits and two blocked shots in Thursday's 5-0 win over the Blues. Stecher is starting to get involved on offense -- he has two assists over his last six games since snapping a 22-game drought. The 28-year-old still shouldn't be expected to contribute much, and certainly not enough to help in fantasy. He's at a meager four helpers with 48 shots on goal, 47 hits, 67 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 49 contests.

  • Coyotes' Troy Stecher: Ends drought with helper

Stecher recorded an assist, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Red Wings. Stecher was finally separated from Patrik Nemeth -- the two defensemen have both endured long droughts recently. Stecher ended his with a secondary helper on a Travis Boyd tally in the third period. During the 22-game dry spell, Stecher went minus-3 with 28 blocked shots, 16 hits and 15 shots on net. The 28-year-old has three assists, 43 shots on net, 60 blocked shots, 40 hits, 23 PIM and a minus-3 rating in 44 outings overall.

  • Coyotes' Troy Stecher: Not generating offense

Stecher has not recorded a point in his last 17 games. Stecher and the Coyotes as a whole were held off the scoresheet in Friday's 2-0 loss to the Blackhawks. During his lengthy drought, the 28-year-old blueliner has added 26 blocked shots, eight hits, 12 shots on goal, six PIM and a minus-2 rating. He's seen a bottom-four role with a regular shift in the Coyotes' seven-defensemen lineups, but he's stick at two helpers through 38 contests overall, so he's a non-factor in fantasy.

  • Coyotes' Troy Stecher: Ends drought with assist

Stecher logged an assist, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Kings. Stecher has been a consistent presence in the Coyotes' lineup, but he entered Thursday on a 13-game point drought. He ended it when he set up a Matias Maccelli goal in the second period. The Coyotes have a fairly young blue line, with Stecher providing a veteran presence with a focus on defense. He's up to two helpers, 29 blocked shots, 24 hits, 28 shots on net, 17 PIM and a minus-3 rating in 21 contests.

  • Coyotes' Troy Stecher: Collects first helper with new team

Stecher produced an assist, two hits and two PIM in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Jets. Stecher has been quiet on offense to begin the year, and it's seen him log a reduced role in recent contests. The defenseman's assist Friday was his first point in seven games. The 28-year-old has added nine shots on net, six hits, 11 blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-6 rating. He had just three points in 29 outings between the Kings and the Red Wings last year, so he shouldn't be expected to put up big scoring numbers.

  • Coyotes' Troy Stecher: Signs with Coyotes

Stecher signed a one-year, $1.2 million contract with the Coyotes on Wednesday, Rick Dhaliwal of TSN 1040 Vancouver reports. Stecher was limited to just 29 games in 2021-22 split between the Red Wings and the Kings due to a wrist injury, picking up only three points over that span. He might have a regular spot in the lineup with Arizona in 2022-23, but he'll almost certainly produce minimal offense on what will likely be a bottom-feeding Coyotes team.

  • Kings' Troy Stecher: Adds two more points in win

Stecher scored a goal on two shots, supplied an assist, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Oilers in Game 5. Stecher has posted multiple points in each of his two playoff outings. He's up to two goals and two assists in those games after producing just three points in 29 regular-season contests. The 28-year-old will likely continue to play -- there's little reason to take him out of the lineup while he's hot.

  • Kings' Troy Stecher: Unlikely source of offense

Stetcher scored a goal on four shots, added an assist and went plus-3 in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Oilers in Game 4. Stecher had the Oilers' second tally of the game and added a helper on a Carl Grundstrom empty-netter. During the regular season, Stecher had only three points in 29 games between the Red Wings and the Kings, so we wouldn't expect him to add many multi-point efforts going forward. He may not even be guaranteed a place in the lineup, though he could stick as a veteran presence on the third pairing.

  • Kings' Troy Stecher: Collects rare helper

Stecher posted an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Wednesday's 9-3 loss to the Avalanche. This was Stecher's first point in 12 games since he was traded from the Red Wings to the Kings at the deadline. The 28-year-old has been a regular presence in the Kings' lineup after missing nearly three months to a wrist injury earlier in the year. He's posted just three points, 48 shots on net, 37 blocked shots, 33 hits and a minus-6 rating in 28 contests overall.

  • Kings' Troy Stecher: Traded to Los Angeles

Detroit traded Stecher to Los Angeles in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick Sunday. Stecher missed 37 straight games with a wrist injury earlier this season and has just two points through 16 appearances. He'll likely fill a bottom-pair or depth role with the Kings. The 27-year-old is set to hit unrestricted free agency this offseason.

  • Red Wings' Troy Stecher: Back at it

Stecher (wrist) has been activated off injured reserve and will return to the lineup for Saturday's matchup with the Flyers. Stecher is expected to return to a second-pairing role following his three-month absence due to a wrist injury. The 27-year-old defender has picked up one helper through six games this season.

  • Red Wings' Troy Stecher: Hopes to play Saturday

Stecher (wrist) hopes to get medical clearance Friday to play Saturday against visiting Philadelphia, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. Stecher has been out since Nov. 6 with the injury, a span of 37 games. He underwent surgery in November, but it sounds like he's ready to return pending doctor approval. However, with just 12 points in his previous 50 games dating back to the start of last season, Stecher shouldn't be counted on for much fantasy production.

  • Red Wings' Troy Stecher: Takes big recovery step

Stecher (wrist) skated while donning a non-contact jersey Thursday, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. Stecher -- who underwent surgery on his wrist -- took a major leap forward in his recovery, but there still isn't a concrete timetable for his return. The Wings initially disclosed that he'd be out until Feb. 23 at the earliest, and so far, there hasn't been any indication to the contrary. According to this latest report, Stecher's next recovery milestone will be his participation in a team skate.

  • Red Wings' Troy Stecher: Out until late February

Stecher requires surgery on his wrist and will be out until at least Feb. 23, Ted Kulfan of The Detroit News reports. The NHL is taking approximately three weeks off for the Olympics in February, and Stecher won't return before that. The 27-year-old chipped in a lone assist in six games prior to his injury and will be formally moved to injured reserve at some point likely in the near future.

  • Red Wings' Troy Stecher: May require surgery

Stecher will take the next few weeks to see how his undisclosed injury heals before deciding whether to undergo surgery, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. Stecher's potentially lengthy absence would impact Detroit's depth at defense, but it wouldn't affect many fantasy lineups, as he's only picked up one helper through six games this season. Another update on Stecher's status should surface once it's determined whether his undisclosed injury will require surgery.

  • Red Wings' Troy Stecher: Meeting with specialist

Stecher is set to meet with a specialist for an undisclosed injury, Max Bultman of The Athletic reports. Stecher has been in and out of the lineup as a healthy scratch this season, so his potential stint on the sidelines is likely to have a minimal impact on fantasy players. The defenseman has missed the 20-point threshold in each of the previous two seasons and likely will be hard-pressed to reach that mark this year.

  • Red Wings' Troy Stecher: Gets on scoresheet with assist

Stecher produced an assist and three blocked shots in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Panthers. Stecher set up Robby Fabbri in the second period to earn his point of the season. The 27-year-old Stecher has played in four games, adding six hits, six blocked shots and a plus-2 rating. He'll likely stay in the lineup until Gustav Lindstrom (undisclosed) is able to return to his usual third-pairing spot.

  • Red Wings' Troy Stecher: Takes home gold

Stecher won a gold medal with Team Canada following the country's 3-2 defeat of Finland on Sunday in the World Championship. Stecher played more than any other Canadian (27:46) in the final contest, and the Red Wings defenseman recorded four shots on goal. There wasn't an overwhelming amount of offense from Stecher in his debut campaign with Detroit -- he had three goals and eight assists over 44 games -- but the B.C. native accumulated 33 hits and 46 blocked shots while occupying a spot on the second defensive pair.

  • Red Wings' Troy Stecher: First career two-goal game

Stecher scored twice in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Blackhawks. Stecher tied the game at 1-1 at 4:49 of the second period, then added another goal 6:24 later to give the Red Wings a 3-1 lead. It was his first career two-goal game. The 27-year-old blueliner has 11 points, 41 shots on net, 35 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating in 34 outings this year. His career high for goals is five, a mark he set in 69 appearances last season.

  • Red Wings' Troy Stecher: Crafts assist streak

Stecher supplied an assist in Sunday's 5-4 shootout win over the Hurricanes. The second-pairing defenseman has notched an assist in back-to-back games while averaging 20:42 of ice time over that span. Stecher sees the ice well - he has eight helpers this season -- but he's still not a prominent name in the fantasy landscape.
