  • Flyers' Cam York: Considered day-to-day

The Flyers announced Thursday that York (upper body) is considered day-to-day. York suffered an upper-body injury during Wednesday's game against the Sabres and was unable to return to the matchup. While it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Sunday's game against the Avalanche, it doesn't seem as though the Flyers expect him to miss extended time.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Injury clarified

York sustained an upper-body injury versus the Sabres on Wednesday, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports. York's injury was not specified when the Flyers announced him as out for the rest of the game. He was hurt on a hit behind the net during the second period. It's unclear if the blueliner will be ready to play Sunday versus the Avalanche.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Sustains undisclosed injury

York (undisclosed) won't return to Wednesday's game versus the Sabres. York was hurt late in the second period and didn't come out for the third. The nature of the injury isn't yet known. The Flyers don't play again until Sunday versus the Avalanche, and if York can't suit up, Noah Juulsen would likely draw back into the lineup.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Dishes pair of assists

York notched two assists, two shots on goal, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Predators. York has four points, a goal and three assists, over his last two games. The 24-year-old defenseman is handling a massive role on the Flyers' top pairing while playing in all situations, which has led to him finally looking like he'll reach the potential he first showed in 2023-24. Through 11 appearances, York has a goal, eight helpers, seven shots on net, 24 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating. He needs just one more power-play point to match his career high in that category from his aforementioned career-best year, and it's safe to assume his production will continue to grow from there.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Three helpers against Kraken

York racked up three assists, two on the power play, in Monday's 5-2 win over Seattle. After being held off the scoresheet in his first two games of the season, York erupted for the first three-point performance of his career. The 24-year-old blueliner missed the first two games of 2025-26 with a lower-body injury, but he's quickly regained a key role now that he's healthy, leading all Flyers defensemen in power-play ice time (1:28) and shorthanded ice time (5:11) on the night.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Ready to return

York (lower body) will be activated off injured reserve and play Thursday versus Winnipeg, per Anthony SanFilippo of On Pattison on Wednesday. According to SanFilippo, the Flyers will return Emil Andrae to the minors. York missed Philadelphia's first three games of the 2025-26 campaign due to the injury. He had four goals, 17 points, 26 PIM, 65 shots, 60 hits and 126 blocks in 66 appearances with the Flyers in 2024-25.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Set for IR stint

York (lower body) will start the 2025-26 campaign on injured reserve, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports Monday. York was deemed day-to-day earlier Monday due to his lower-body injury, and it's currently unclear how much time he will miss. In relation to York's recovery timeline, general manager Daniel Briere said Monday, "At the moment it's a day-to-day thing. Are we looking at a week? Are we looking at two weeks? Are we looking at two days? That's what we're trying to figure out right now," according to Adam Kimelman of NHL.com. Nick Seeler and Adam Ginning should see increased responsibilities on the left side of the blue line for as long as York is sidelined. The 24-year-old York signed a five-year, $25.75 million contract with the Flyers during the offseason, so he'll be a key part of the club's long-term plans when healthy.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Re-ups with club

York agreed to terms on a five-year, $25.75 million contract with Philadelphia on Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. York will see a nice boost from his previous $1.6 million AAV deal. A restricted free agent this offseason, the 24-year-old blueliner will now be tied to the Flyers through his prime years and becomes the second-highest paid defenseman for the club behind Travis Sanheim. Last season, York was dropped from the power-play units, which was no doubt a factor in his failing to reach the 20-point threshold for the first time in three years -- though playing in just 66 regular-season games was also part of the problem. With a new coaching staff in town, perhaps York can return to being a 30-point producer.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Secures helper in loss

York notched an assist and two PIM in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Canadiens. York helped out on a Ryan Poehling tally in the first period. This was York's second assist in his last six games. He has produced 16 points, 63 shots on net, 115 blocked shots, 53 hits and a minus-7 rating over 61 appearances. The defenseman has had a down year, so fantasy managers should adjust their expectations for him going into 2025-26, as it's looking less likely he'll be a potential fantasy star from the blue line.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Posts helper Saturday

York notched an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Penguins. York snapped a five-game point drought with the helper. The 24-year-old defenseman is up to 13 points, 53 shots on net, 84 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through 44 appearances this season. He continues to see top-four minutes, but his offense is well short of the 30-point pace he set in 2023-24, so his fantasy utility is low.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Finds twine Thursday

York scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM, went plus-2, logged three hits and blocked three shots in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Islanders. York's third-period tally ended up being the game-winner. It was his first goal since Dec. 7, and he was limited to six assists over 17 outings between goals. The blueliner has 11 points, 36 shots on net, 62 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 32 appearances this season. York has maintained a top-four role in 2024-25 despite failing to take the next step forward on offense.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Expected to return Saturday

York (upper body) is slated to return to the lineup versus Chicago on Saturday, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports. York has missed the last 13 games after he was hit into the boards in the third period Oct. 24 against the Capitals. The 23-year-old blueliner has two goals and an assist in seven appearances this season. York had a breakout campaign in 2023-24, tallying 10 goals and adding 20 assists over 82 regular-season games.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Full practice participant

York (upper body) continues to be a full participant at practice, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports, but remains on injured reserve ahead of Monday's matchup with Colorado. York will be sidelined for his 12th consecutive contest due to his upper-body injury, having last played Oct. 23 versus Washington. With Emil Andrae (undisclosed) and Jamie Drysdale (upper body) both sidelined as well, the team could certainly benefit from having York back in action. At this point, York may be hard-pressed to reach the 30-point threshold again this year, after needing all 82 games to achieve that mark in 2023-24.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Moves to injured reserve

York (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday. York was already ruled out for two weeks, so this move is simply procedural. Erik Johnson took York's place in the lineup Saturday versus the Wild, but Emil Andrae could also get some playing time in the short term.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Nets equalizer Friday

York scored a goal and added two PIM in Friday's 3-2 shootout win over the Canucks. York's goal early in the third period was enough to force overtime. The 23-year-old defenseman produced 10 goals, 20 assists, 174 blocked shots and 134 shots on goal over 82 games in 2023-24, but his production was bolstered by averaging 2:05 per contest with the man advantage. He's not on a power-play unit to begin this season, but that could change if Egor Zamula or Jamie Drysdale struggle. Still, York's fantasy upside is capped if he doesn't get more favorable assignments for offense.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Goal vs. Rangers

York scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Rangers. York opened the scoring 4:21 into the first period, beating Jonathan Quick with a wrister to give the Flyers an early lead. It's the first goal for York since March 2 -- he logged seven assists in his previous 17 games. Overall, the 23-year-old blueliner is up to 10 goals and 30 points with 174 blocked shots and 74 hits while averaging 22:33 of ice time in a top-pairing role.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Good to go

York (upper body) will be in the lineup Saturday against New Jersey, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports. Despite leaving Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to Toronto early, York will be available to play in Saturday's outdoor contest at MetLife Stadium. He has contributed six goals, 18 points and 96 blocked shots across 55 appearances this campaign.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Questionable for Saturday

York (upper body) isn't sure if he'll be available Saturday, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports. York left Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to Toronto due to the injury. He has six goals, 18 points, 28 PIM, 77 shots, 46 hits and 96 blocks in 55 games this season. If York can't play Saturday, then defenseman Egor Zamula, who has been serving as a forward, might shift to the third pairing while Olle Lycksell would likely dress as part of the fourth line.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Gets game's only goal

York scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 win over Detroit on Saturday. York gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead early in the first period when his centering pass intended for Sean Couturier went off the stick of Wings forward J.T. Compher who was in front of the net. It doesn't matter how they go in, they all count the same. York has a modest 12 points in 30 games, but five of them are goals. That equals his career total set in 87 games prior to the 2023-24 campaign. His fantasy value is limited at this point, but you can see the development in his game. York may help you in future years, so file his name away.

  • Flyers' Cam York: Two points against Columbus

York produced a goal and an assist in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets. After helping to set up Joel Farabee early in the first period to get the Flyers on the board, York wrapped up the scoring on the day with an empty-netter. It was the first multi-point performance of the season for the 22-year-old blueliner. While York is averaging a career-high in ice time with 22:18, he's lost his spot on the power play and has only two goals and six points through 18 games, giving him limited fantasy appeal.
