  • Senators' Carter Yakemchuk: Added as part of Black Aces

Yakemchuk has been added to the active roster by the Senators, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports Sunday. Following Saturday's 2-0 defeat in Game 1 against the Hurricanes, the Senators have added their crop of Black Aces to the roster with AHL Belleville's season officially in the books. Alongside Yakemchuk, Ottawa also added Graeme Clarke, Arthur Kaliyev, Xavier Bourgault, Oskar Pettersson and Tyler Boucher to the roster.

  • Senators' Xavier Bourgault: Three points in AHL win

Bourgault scored twice and added an assist in AHL Belleville's 6-4 win over Syracuse on Friday. Bourgault has three multi-goal games over his last six games. For the season, the winger is up to 25 goals, 57 points and a minus-17 rating over 69 appearances. Belleville will miss the AHL postseason, so Bourgault could be a candidate to join Ottawa as part of the Black Aces early next week.

  • Senators' Xavier Bourgault: Hat trick for Belleville

Bourgault scored three goals in AHL Belleville's 7-6 overtime win over Laval on Friday. Bourgault has five goals over his last three games. The 23-year-old forward has broken out to the tune of 23 goals, 54 points, 174 shots on net and a minus-15 rating with Belleville in his fourth AHL campaign. He's looked good in most areas but clearly still has some more to prove to get another NHL look after making two appearances with Ottawa earlier this season.

  • Senators' Xavier Bourgault: Demoted to AHL Belleville

Bourgault was reassigned to AHL Belleville on Saturday. Bourgault was a minus-1 in 5:12 of action in Ottawa's 5-2 win over Colorado on Wednesday. He has yet to find the scoresheet in two games this season after making his NHL debut Dec. 27 in Toronto. Bourgault had 14 goals and 23 assists in 43 AHL games before his recall.

  • Senators' Xavier Bourgault: Headed back to AHL

Bourgault has been loaned to AHL Belleville by the Senators, the team announced Sunday. Bourgault was brought up just after the holiday break concluded and made his NHL debut Saturday, recording three shots on goal in just 6:43 of ice time in a 7-5 loss to Toronto. He won't get a chance at an encore performance, as he's being sent back to AHL Belleville. The 23-year-old has 27 points (nine goals, 18 assists) in 32 games in the AHL.

  • Senators' Xavier Bourgault: Up from AHL

Bourgault was promoted from AHL Belleville on Wednesday. Bourgault had 12 goals and 26 points across 61 regular-season outings with Ottawa's top minor-league affiliate in 2024-25. Bourgault will likely start the season in the AHL after seeing some additional preseason action. The Senators face St. Louis on Thursday before visiting Montreal on Saturday to conclude the team's exhibition schedule.

  • Senators' Xavier Bourgault: Re-signs with Sens

Bourgault has signed a one-year, two-way contract to remain with the Senators, PuckPedia reports. Bourgault has yet to make an appearance in the NHL in his career, but the 22-year-old has done well at the AHL level. Last season, he finished with 12 goals and 14 assists in 61 games with AHL Belleville, his first full season in the Senators organization after being traded from Edmonton last offseason. Bourgault will likely remain in the AHL to start next season, but he should be in the mix for a call-up should the situation call for one.

  • Senators' Xavier Bourgault: Drops to AHL

Bourgault was reassigned to AHL Belleville on Friday. Bourgault was acquired by the Senators from the Oilers in July, but the 21-year-old forward will not begin 2024-25 in the NHL. He had 20 points in 55 AHL games with Bakersfield last year.

  • Senators' Xavier Bourgault: Acquired in trade

Ottawa obtained Bourgault and Jake Chiasson from Edmonton on Monday in exchange for Roby Jarventie and a 2025 fourth-round pick. Bourgault produced eight goals and 20 points in 55 regular-season appearances for AHL Bakersfield in 2023-24. The 21-year-old forward hasn't seen any NHL action since being the No. 22 overall pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. He will compete for a bottom-six spot with the Senators during training camp.
