Top Jason Robertson News

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Two points against Oilers

Robertson produced a goal and an assist in Saturday's 4-1 win over Edmonton.

Both points came in the third period as the Stars pulled away. Robertson saw his numbers take a step back last season after a breakout 2022-23 campaign, but he's off to a solid start to the current season with three goals and five points in six games.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Nets second goal

Robertson scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Capitals.

Robertson tied the game briefly at 2-2 in the second period, but Taylor Raddysh answered for the Capitals minutes later. Through five outings, Robertson has two goals, one assist, 13 shots on net and a plus-1 rating. The top-line winger hasn't reached his potential yet in 2024-25 as part of the Stars' balanced offense, but he can be forgiven for a slow start after recovery from offseason foot surgery wiped out his preseason.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Provides helper in win

Robertson recorded an assist and three shots on goal in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Sharks.

Robertson also had one of the Stars' three tallies in the shootout. The winger hasn't done a lot on offense so far, collecting two points, 11 shots on net and a plus-2 rating across four contests. Despite the lack of results, he's a first-line fixture in Dallas and should eventually warm up when more of his shots start to fall.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Nets goal in win

Robertson scored a goal, went plus-2 and added three hits in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Predators.

Robertson doubled the Stars' lead to 2-0 with his tally 2:24 into the second period. While he missed the whole preseason while recovering from foot surgery, he didn't look a step behind the pace in this win. He saw 16:45 of ice time and will likely continue to see more modest playing time given the depth of the Stars' lineup. The winger was limited to 29 goals and 80 points in 82 regular-season outings, but he has a pair of 40-goal campaigns and one 100-point year to his name, so he's a strong bounce-back candidate.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Good to play Thursday

Robertson (foot) is set to play Thursday against Nashville, per Brian Rea of Bally Sports Southwest.

Robertson underwent foot surgery over the summer, but it seems that procedure won't result in him missing any regular-season games. He scored 29 goals and 80 points across 82 regular-season contests in 2023-24, which is impressive but also down from 46 goals and 109 points during the prior campaign. It wouldn't be surprising to see the 25-year-old surpass his 2023-24 offensive totals if he stays healthy this campaign.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Back at practice

Robertson (foot) participated in Saturday's practice, Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars reports.

After undergoing foot surgery in the offseason, Robertson skated with his teammates for the first time at training camp. He is still on track to be ready for Opening Night versus Nashville on Oct. 10. Robertson compiled 29 goals and 80 points across 82 regular-season outings in 2023-24.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Will miss camp after foot surgery

Robertson underwent foot surgery to remove a cyst this offseason and will miss preseason games, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Robertson is expected to be healthy in time for the Stars' first game of the year Oct. 10 versus the Predators. His absence should provide an opportunity for multiple players to audition for a top-six role, including rookies Logan Stankoven and Mavrik Bourque, though both may ultimately end up on the third line to begin 2024-25.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Breaks goal drought with hat trick

Robertson scored three goals and went plus-2 in Monday's 5-3 win over the Oilers in Game 3.

Robertson entered Monday with no goals over his last 10 games. Part of that slump coincided with the absence of Roope Hintz, who returned from an upper-body injury and assisted on the first two goals of Robertson's hat trick in this comeback win. Robertson is up to six goals, 16 points, 33 shots on net, 23 hits, 19 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 16 playoff appearances.

The winger is at 13 points, 28 shots on net, 23 hits, 19 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating through 14 playoff contests. Robertson continues to hold down a top-six role, and his increased physical play helps bolster his value in DFS formats.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Grabs helper in win

Robertson logged an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Avalanche in Game 3.

Robertson has a helper in all three second-round games so far, though this was his first to not come on the power play. The 24-year-old winger is up to eight points, 19 shots on net, 18 hits, 12 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating through 10 playoff contests. He's not dominating in the postseason, but the Stars' balanced offense doesn't require Robertson to hit lofty scoring totals.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Pots Game 5 power-play winner

Robertson scored the game-winning goal on the power play in Wednesday's 3-2 victory over the Golden Knights in Game 5.

After falling into an 0-2 hole to begin the series, Dallas has come roaring back with three straight wins, but Robertson has been productive all along. He's failed to find the scoresheet only once in the last five games, racking up three goals and five points over that span, and Wednesday's power-play tally was his second of the playoffs. The 24-year-old will try to help the Stars advance to second round Friday in Game 6.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Dishes pair of helpers

Robertson recorded two assists and four shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Golden Knights in Game 3.

Robertson set up both of Wyatt Johnston's tallies in the contest, including the game-winner at 16:23 of overtime. Through three playoff outings, Robertson has four points, nine shots on net, six hits and an even plus-minus rating. The Stars found success with a top line of Robertson, Johnston and Roope Hintz, which could end up being an elite trio for the team if they're going to continue to fight back against the Golden Knights in this first-round series that Vegas leads 2-1.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Nets lone goal on power play

Robertson scored a power-play goal on two shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 2.

Robertson's tally opened the scoring in the first period, but he was the only Star to solve Logan Thompson. The 24-year-old Robertson has four goals and an assist over his last six games, including two goals through two playoff outings. He continues to play on the top line and first power-play unit, and the Stars will need him at his best in order to have a chance to crawl out of their 2-0 series hole.
