    Kerfoot produced an assist and four blocked shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Islanders. Kerfoot found Pierre Engvall for a goal at 10:49 of the second period. The 27-year-old Kerfoot has been bounced around the lineup a bit lately, but he saw second-line usage Sunday with Auston Matthews (undisclosed) sidelined. Kerfoot's up to 50 points for the first time in his five-year career, and he's added 69 hits, 63 blocked shots and a plus-19 rating in 76 appearances.

  • Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Ice time questions

    Kerfoot's ice time dropped to 10:10 Thursday against the Capitals. He was at practice Friday, so it wasn't injury related. Kerfoot had been seeing 14-15 minutes of ice time a game and has recently been skating with William Nylander. And prior to Thursday, he had a point in each of his previous two games. Kerfoot is sitting with a career-best 49 points (74 games), and despite the many fan tirades about his game, he has contributed to the team's on-ice success. For fantasy, he doesn't get power-play time and doesn't cover many categories, but a 50-point winger is valuable in many formats.

    Kerfoot had a goal and two assists in a 5-4 overtime loss to Arizona on Thursday. Kerfoot is on the doorstep of a new career-best in points. He now has 10 goals and 42 points in just 58 games. His career mark is 43 set in his rookie season (2017-18). Kerfoot is prolific 5-on-5 and doesn't deliver much by way of category coverage. But any guy flirting with a possible 60-point season should get fantasy consideration.

Jack Roslovic tied the game for the Blue Jackets early in the third period, but Kerfoot provided a quick response to give the Maple Leafs the lead again.
