Scott (undisclosed) was activated from injured reserve and assigned to AHL Toronto on Saturday, per CapFriendly. Scott was on injured reserve from the start of the season, but he started practicing in late December. Maple Leafs' Ian Scott: Surfaces on non-roster list
Scott (undisclosed) has been designated as an injured non-roster player by Toronto, SB Nation reports. The nature of Scott's injury remains a mystery, but once he's healthy, look for him to be assigned to the AHL or ECHL. The 22-year-old netminder spent most of the 2020-21 season with the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL, going 0-1-0 while posting a 4.17 GAA and an .844 save percentage in five appearances.... See More ... Maple Leafs' Ian Scott: Surgery to fix hip successful
Scott underwent successful hip surgery to correct ongoing issues related to impingement syndrome and is expected to miss at least six months, reports the Toronto Marlies official site. Surgery is often recommended as a treatment for hip impingement, a condition that occurs when there's abnormal contact between bones in the hip that causes pain and decreased range of motion. Scott has not played since the end of the 2018-19 season, a stellar campaign that earned him the CHL Goaltender of the Year. Maple Leafs' Ian Scott: Named WHL Goalie of the Year
Scott has been named 2018-19 WHL Goaltender of the Year. It was a well-deserved honor for Toronto's 2017 fourth-round selection. Scott's eight shutouts led all WHL goaltenders and he finished second in the league in wins (38), GAA (1.83) and save percentage (.932).
