  • Bruins' Fraser Minten: Plates two helpers in win

Minten distributed two assists and had three hits in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Islanders. Minten assisted on goals by Tanner Jeannot and Alex Steeves (on the penalty kill). The 21-year-old has been productive for the Bruins, picking up five assists, eight points, 31 shots on goal, 46 hits and 21 blocks through 25 games this season. He is developing nicely as a two-way player who covers multiple categories in fantasy, making him a rising option in deep leagues that value banger stats.

  • Bruins' Fraser Minten: Five points in last seven games

Minten scored a goal Saturday in a 5-3 win over Toronto. He cashed in a 2-on-1 late in the third period by getting a shot past a sprawling Dennis Hildeby. Minten has five points (two goals, three assists) in his last seven games. The former Leaf has settled in as the Bruins' third-line center, and he's responding offensively so far.

  • Bruins' Fraser Minten: Scores first goal with Bruins

Minten netted a goal, put two shots on net and dished out two hits in Tuesday's 7-2 win over New Jersey. Minten's goal was the second of three goals the Bruins scored in the third period. The 20-year-old's goal was his first with Boston since receiving the call-up April 5 from AHL Providence. Tuesday's tally brought Minten's point total to five, where he has three goals and two assists in 18 games this season between the Maple Leafs and Bruins. His offensive impact in limited ice time at the NHL level this season is a strong sign of things to come for the second-round selection in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. Minten has claimed a role centering Boston's third line down the stretch this season and has a true chance to maintain this spot full-time next season. Keep an eye on Minten ahead of the 2025-26 season.

  • Bruins' Fraser Minten: Recalled from minors

Minten was recalled from AHL Providence on Saturday, per Scott McLaughlin of WEEI.com. Minten was part of a package the Bruins received from Toronto at the trade deadline in exchange for Brandon Carlo. Minten exploded for three goals and an assist in his second game with Providence and has seven points in nine games with the AHL Bruins. Boston sent Jeffrey Viel to the minors in a corresponding move. Minten will give the Bruins 13 healthy forwards, and he could enter the lineup as a bottom-six forward or be a healthy scratch against Carolina on Saturday.

  • Bruins' Fraser Minten: Dealt to rival

Minten was traded to the Bruins from the Maple Leafs, along with a conditional 2026 first-round pick and a 2025 fourth-round pick, in exchange for Brandon Carlo on Friday, per NHL.com. Minten highlights the return for Boston in the intra-division deal. The 20-year-old center has logged four points over 19 NHL appearances across the last two seasons. He's a physical player who will likely slot into a middle-six role eventually, but for now, it's expected he'll be with AHL Providence to close out 2024-25.

  • Maple Leafs' Fraser Minten: Headed back to minors

Minten was reassigned to AHL Toronto on Monday. Minten will trade places with Dakota Mermis, who was called up from the Marlies in a corresponding move. The decision to swap a forward for a defenseman is likely the result of Oliver Ekman-Larsson sustaining a lower-body injury in Saturday's matchup with Edmonton. Minten has played in 15 NHL games this year, recording two goals, two assists and 36 hits while averaging 12:14 of ice time.

  • Maple Leafs' Fraser Minten: Called up from AHL

Minten was recalled from AHL Toronto on Thursday. The Maple Leafs placed John Tavares (lower body) on injured reserve in a corresponding move. Minten had two goals and two assists over 11 games in an earlier stint with Toronto. He had five goals and 10 points across 16 AHL appearances before his recall. Look for Minten to have a middle-six role when the Leafs host New Jersey on Thursday.

  • Maple Leafs' Fraser Minten: Sent down to minors

Minten was reassigned to AHL Toronto on Tuesday. Minten's demotion is a good indication that David Kampf (lower body) will be available against the Stars on Wednesday -- though he is officially still on long-term IR. For this part, the 20-year-old Minten has appeared in 11 NHL games this year in which he generated two goals, two assists and 31 hits while averaging 12:47 of ice time. Should the need arise, Minten figures to remain atop the list of potential call-ups for the rest of the year.

  • Maple Leafs' Fraser Minten: Posts power-play helper

Minten logged a power-play assist in Sunday's 3-2 win over Utah. Minten has a goal and an assist over his first two NHL appearances this season. He didn't have any points over his first four career games in 2023-24. The 20-year-old is getting a chance to play as injuries have piled up among Toronto's forwards. He's filling a third-line role, but Minten could be headed back to AHL Toronto once Auston Matthews (upper body) or Max Domi (lower body) can return.

  • Maple Leafs' Fraser Minten: First career goal a game-winner

Minten scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 3-0 victory over the Golden Knights. In just his fifth career NHL game and his first of the season, the 2022 second-round pick opened the scoring by snapping home a slick feed from William Nylander midway through the first period. That was all the offense Joseph Woll would need on the night. Minten missed the beginning of the campaign with an ankle injury, but in five games for AHL Toronto after getting healthy he recorded two goals and four points. The 20-year-old has the skills, speed and hockey IQ to fill a middle-six role for the Maple Leafs while the team deals with a rash of injuries, and he even saw some power-play shifts Wednesday. Minten could have some short-term fantasy value until the Toronto forward ranks are closer to full strength.

  • Maple Leafs' Fraser Minten: Hurts leg in prospects game

Minten sustained a leg injury in Toronto's prospects game versus Montreal on Sunday, Lance Hornby of The Toronto Sun reports. Minten was shaken up and ultimately had to exit the contest after taking a hit from Montreal's David Reinbacher. Minten will be evaluated when he returns to Toronto, and the team is hopeful that he will be ready for training camp. The 20-year-old center is battling for a roster spot on the Maple Leafs after appearing in four regular-season outings with the big club in 2023-24. An update on Minten's status should become available before Toronto's Sept. 22 preseason opener against Ottawa.

  • Maple Leafs' Fraser Minten: Returning to juniors

Minten was reassigned to WHL Kamloops on Friday. Minten played in four games for the Leafs this season, in which he recorded three shots, three hits and two PIM while averaging 11:26 of ice time. The 19-year-old center's return to the junior ranks shouldn't come as a surprise after he was a healthy scratch for the previous three games. Pontus Holmberg should see more minutes with Minten out of the picture.
